Abstract

Embodiments are directed to a stable composition comprising stabilized hydrogen peroxide and 2-propanol and applicators configured to store, dispense, and apply such stable compositions. Such compositions may be used to treat skin conditions such as warts, condyloma accuminatum, molluscum contagiosum, acrochordons, seborrheic keratosis, or a combination thereof. Some embodiments also describe take home compositions, in office compositions, over-the-counter compositions, and kits for the use of such compositions.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
.- 50 . (canceled)

. A method of treating a wart in a human in need thereof, said method comprising:
topically administering to the wart of said human, a composition comprising about 40% w/w to about 50% w/w hydrogen peroxide.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein the composition further comprises a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of stannate, sodium pyrophosphate, organophosphonate, nitrate, phosphoric acid, colloidal silicate, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein the composition further comprises an alcohol in an amount of about 0.1% w/w to about 10% w/w.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein the composition further comprises an alcohol in an amount of about 1% w/w to about 5% w/w.

. The method of claim 53 , wherein the alcohol is a primary alcohol, a secondary alcohol, a tertiary alcohol, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 53 , wherein the alcohol is selected from methanol, ethanol, butanol, 1-propanol, pentanol, hexanol, octanol, nonanol, decanol, 2-butanol, 2-propanol, 2-pentanol, benzyl alcohol, an isomer thereof, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein the composition comprises about 45% w/w hydrogen peroxide.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein the wart is selected from the group consisting of a common wart, a genital wart, an external genital wart, a recurrent wart, a periungual wart, a subungual wart, a palmar wart, a flat wart, a plantar wart, a mosaic wart, a recalcitrant wart, a treatment naïve wart, an epidermodysplasia verruciformis related wart, a butcher's wart, an oropharyngeal wart, a laryngeal wart, an anogenital wart, cervical dysplasia, a cervical wart, a cervical neoplasia, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein administering the composition is carried out in combination with one or more methods of mechanically, physically or chemically enhancing penetration of the composition into a lesion.

. The method of claim 59 , wherein the one or more methods of mechanically, physically or chemically enhancing the penetration of the composition into the lesion occurs before, after, or concurrent with administration of the composition.

. The method of claim 51 , wherein administering the composition is carried out once daily, twice daily, weekly, twice weekly, every other week, every other day.

. A method of treating a wart in a human in need thereof comprising: topically administering to the wart of said human, a topical composition comprising about 40% w/w to about 50% w/w hydrogen peroxide and a surface tension modifying agent.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein the composition further comprises a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of stannate, sodium pyrophosphate, organophosphonate, nitrate, phosphoric acid, colloidal silicate, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein the surface tension modifying agent is selected from an alcohol, PEG (polyethylene glycol) stearate, polysorbate, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 64 , wherein the alcohol is a primary alcohol, a secondary alcohol, a tertiary alcohol, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 64 , wherein the alcohol is selected from methanol, ethanol, butanol, 1-propanol, pentanol, hexanol, octanol, nonanol, decanol, 2-butanol, 2-propanol, 2-pentanol, benzyl alcohol, an isomer thereof, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein the composition comprises about 45% w/w hydrogen peroxide and about 1% w/w to about 10% w/w of the surface tension modifying agent.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein the composition comprises about 45% w/w hydrogen peroxide and about 5% w/w of the surface tension modifying agent.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein the wart is selected from the group consisting of a common wart, a genital wart, an external genital wart, a recurrent wart, a periungual wart, a subungual wart, a palmar wart, a flat wart, a plantar wart, a mosaic wart, a recalcitrant wart, a treatment naïve wart, an epidermodysplasia verruciformis related wart, a butcher's wart, an oropharyngeal wart, a laryngeal wart, an anogenital wart, cervical dysplasia, a cervical wart, a cervical neoplasia, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 62 , wherein administering the composition is carried out in combination with one or more method of mechanically, physically or chemically enhancing penetration of the composition into a lesion.
