Abstract
A secured delivery system can include a doorbell device comprising a scanner, and a locking mechanism operatively connected to the scanner a computer processor or a cloud server and a structure, such as a residence or lockbox. A key, which can be in the for of a bar code, can be generated and sent to delivery or service personnel needing access to the structure. The delivery or service personnel present the bar code to the scanner. Upon reading the bar code, the locking mechanism is unlocked thereby allowing access to the structure.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system for delivering an item comprising:
(a) a host device attached to a secure location and operatively connected to an access point of a structure and adapted to unlock the access point, said host device comprising;
a housing;
an audio speaker;
(b) at least one mobile device operatively connected to the host device; (c) the host device, and the at least one mobile device operatively connected to a global navigation satellite system comprising a Global Positioning System (GPS) configured to determine a proximity of the host device to the at least one mobile device, and the host device comprising a computer processor and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising software having programming instructions that, when executed, cause the computer processor to unlock the access point when the global navigation satellite system detects that the mobile device is within a predetermined proximity of the host device via the GPS; (d) a first Internet Protocol (IP) address is associated with the host device, and a second Internet Protocol (IP) address is associated with the at least one mobile device, and the global navigation satellite system detects a geolocation of the host device using the first Internet Protocol (IP) address and detects a geolocation of the at least one mobile device using the second Internet Protocol (IP) address, whereby the global navigation satellite system detects when the at least one mobile device is within the predetermined proximity of the host device; wherein an audible message is broadcast from the audio speaker when the global navigation satellite system detects that the mobile device is within a predetermined proximity of the host device; wherein the access point of a structure comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a door of a building, a door of a residence, a door of a storage locker, a door of a lockbox, and a lid of a container.
2 . The system for delivering items of claim 1 , wherein the audible message comprises instruction for where to deliver said item.
3 . The system for delivering items of claim 1 , wherein the host device further comprises a display screen.
4 . The system for delivering items of claim 3 , wherein a message is displayed on the display screen when the global navigation satellite system detects that the mobile device is within said predetermined proximity of the host device.
5 . The system for delivering items of claim 1 , wherein the host device further comprises a camera.
6 . The system for delivering items of claim 5 , wherein the camera captures an image and wherein said image is transmitted to an administrator of the host device.
7 . The system for delivering items of claim 1 , wherein the host device further comprises a motion detector.
8 . The system for delivering items of claim 7 , wherein the audible message is broadcast from the audio speaker when the global navigation satellite system detects that the mobile device is within said predetermined proximity of the host device and when motion is detected by the motion detector.
9 . The system for delivering items of claim 1 , wherein the host device further comprises a scanner device.
10 . The system for delivering items of claim 9 , wherein the host device requires an approved scan of an image by the scanner device before the access point is unlocked.
11 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the mobile device is a diad.
12 . The system for delivering items of claim 1 , further comprising:
a non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising software having programming instructions that, allow an administrator to create a virtual key comprising a graphic image and transmit the virtual key to a recipient,
wherein the scanner device is adapted to read the virtual key from the recipient and upon reading the photograph initiate an action selected from the group consisting of unlocking an access point to a structure.
13 . The system according to claim 12 , wherein the virtual key further comprises at least one from the group consisting of a bar code and an alphanumeric character.
14 . The system according to claim 12 , wherein the virtual key is on the item for delivery to the access point.
15 . The system according to claim 12 , wherein the virtual key is an identification badge.
16 . The system according to claim 12 , wherein the virtual key is sent to the at least one mobile device by said host device.
17 . The system according to claim 16 , wherein the virtual key is sent via e-mail or text to the mobile device.
18 . The system according to claim 12 , further comprising a locking mechanism adapted to change between a locked position and an unlocked positioned, the locking mechanism operatively connected to the access point of a structure and the scanner device, wherein the scanner device transmits a signal to the locking mechanism causing the locking mechanism to reside in the unlocked position when the scanner device reads the virtual key.
19 . The system according to claim 12 , wherein the virtual key expires after a predetermined period of time.
20 . A system for delivering an item comprising:
(a) a host device attached to a secure location and operatively connected to an access point of a structure and adapted to unlock the access point, said host device comprising:
a housing;
a scanner device;
an audio speaker;
a motion detector;
(b) at least one mobile device operatively connected to the host device; (c) the host device, and the at least one mobile device operatively connected to a global navigation satellite system comprising a Global Positioning System (GPS) configured to determine a proximity of the host device to the at least one mobile device, and the host device comprising a computer processor and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising software having programming instructions that, when executed, cause the computer processor to unlock the access point when the global navigation satellite system detects that the mobile device is within a predetermined proximity of the host device via the GPS; (d) a first Internet Protocol (IP) address is associated with the host device, and a second Internet Protocol (IP) address is associated with the at least one mobile device, and the global navigation satellite system detects a geolocation of the host device using the first Internet Protocol (IP) address and detects a geolocation of the at least one mobile device using the second Internet Protocol (IP) address, whereby the global navigation satellite system detects when the at least one mobile device is within the predetermined proximity of the host device; wherein the audible message is broadcast from the audio speaker when the global navigation satellite system detects that the mobile device is within a predetermined proximity of the host device and when motion is detected by the motion detector; wherein the host device requires an approved scan of an image by the scanner device before the access point is unlocked; a non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising software having programming instructions that, allow an administrator to create a virtual key comprising a graphic image and transmit the virtual key to a recipient,
wherein the virtual key is created by the administrator selecting a photograph;
wherein the scanner device is adapted to read the photograph from the recipient and upon reading the photograph unlock the access point; wherein the access point of a structure comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a door of a building, a door of a residence, a door of a storage locker, a door of a lockbox, and a lid of a container.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
