Abstract

Example aspects of a cosmetics brush cleaning device and a method of using a cosmetics brush cleaning device are disclosed. The cosmetics brush cleaning device can comprise a cleaning pad defining a front pad surface and a back pad surface opposite the front pad surface; and a plurality of nubs extending from the front pad surface, the nubs comprising a plurality of small nubs each defining a first width and a plurality of large nubs each defining a second width that is greater than the first width, wherein the small nubs are oriented in a small nub grouping and the large nubs are oriented in a large nub grouping spaced from the small nub grouping.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
That which is claimed is:

1 . A cosmetics brush cleaning device comprising:
a cleaning pad defining a front pad surface and a back pad surface opposite the front pad surface; and a plurality of nubs extending from the front pad surface, the nubs comprising a plurality of small nubs each defining a first width and a plurality of large nubs each defining a second width that is greater than the first width, wherein the small nubs are oriented in a small nub grouping and the large nubs are oriented in a large nub grouping spaced from the small nub grouping.

2 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein:
the cleaning pad further defines a center and an outer edge; and a plurality of curved ridges extend from the front pad surface, the ridges defining a first ridge circle concentric to the center of the cleaning pad.

3 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 2 , wherein each of the small nub grouping and large nub grouping is oriented between the first ridge circle and the outer edge of the cleaning pad.

4 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 2 , further comprising a second ridge circle concentric to the center of the cleaning pad and to the first ridge circle.

5 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of nubs further comprises a plurality of medium nubs, wherein each of the medium nubs defines a third width that is greater than the first width and less than the second width, and wherein the medium nubs are oriented in a medium nub grouping.

6 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 1 , wherein:
the small nub grouping comprises at least one linear row of at least a portion of the small nubs, the linear row extending radially outward relative to a center of the cleaning pad; and the large nub grouping comprises at least one linear row of at least a portion of the large nubs, the linear row extending radially outward relative to the center of the cleaning pad.

         7 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of  claim 6 , wherein;
the small nub grouping comprises a curved row of a portion of the small nubs oriented between a pair of the linear rows of a portion of the small nubs; and the large nub grouping comprises a curved row of a portion of the large nubs oriented between a pair of the linear rows of a portion of the large nubs.

8 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 7 , wherein each of the curved row of small nubs and the curved row of large nubs substantially defines a V-shape.

9 . A cosmetics brush cleaning device comprising:
a body comprising a base and a flange extending from an outer edge of the base, the body defining a concavity; and a cleaning pad oriented within the concavity and coupled to the base; and a plurality of projections extending from the cleaning pad, the projections comprising a plurality of small cylindrical nubs each defining a first width and a plurality of large cylindrical nubs each defining a second width that is greater than the first width.

10 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 9 , wherein the projections further comprise a plurality of curved ridges, the curved ridges defining a first ridge circle concentric to a center of the cleaning pad.

11 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 9 , wherein the small cylindrical nubs are oriented in a small nub grouping and the large cylindrical nubs are oriented in a large nub grouping spaced from the small nub grouping.

12 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 11 , wherein:
the small nub grouping comprises at least one linear row of a portion of the small nubs and at least one curved row of a portion of the small nubs; and the large nub grouping comprises at least one linear row of a portion of the large nubs and at least one curved row of a portion of the large nubs.

13 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 9 , wherein the base defines an outer base surface opposite the concavity, the outer base surface configured to rest in a palm of a hand, the outer base surface defining a concave region at a center of the base.

14 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 13 , the outer base surface further defining at least one of an indentation formed therein and a gripping projection extending therefrom.

15 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 9 , wherein the flange defines a flange edge distal to the base, the flange edge defining a wavy shape.

16 . The cosmetics brush cleaning device of claim 9 , wherein an annular channel is defined between the cleaning pad and the body.

17 . A method of using a cosmetics brush cleaning device comprising:
providing the cosmetics brush cleaning device comprising a cleaning pad and a plurality of projections extending from the cleaning pad, the projections comprising a plurality of small nubs defining a first width and a plurality of large nubs defining a second width greater than the first width, wherein the small nubs are oriented in a small nub grouping and the large nubs are oriented in a large nub grouping spaced from the small nub grouping; rubbing a brush head of a cosmetics brush against the small nub grouping; and rubbing the brush head against the large nub grouping.

18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the projections further comprise a plurality of curved ridges, and wherein the method further comprises rubbing the brush head against the curved ridges.

19 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising adding one of a cleanser or water to one of the cleaning pad the brush head.

20 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising:
