Abstract
An anchorage device includes a substrate extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end having a first bonding area and an opposite second end having a second bonding area. The substrate has a third bonding area between the first and second bonding areas. Kits, systems and methods are disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A kit for implanting a medical device, the kit comprising:
an implantable medical device; a substrate comprising a planar sheet having opposite first and second sides, the sheet comprising a polymer applied to the first side, the sheet comprising a hemostatic agent dispersed in the polymer; a plurality of strips of adhesive; and a plurality of strips of non-stick material, wherein the strips of adhesive are configured to be applied to the polymer to define a plurality of bonding areas and the strips of adhesive are configured to be applied to the strips of adhesive.
22 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the strips of adhesive are spaced apart from the substrate.
23 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate is free of adhesive.
24 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the bonding areas include first bonding areas and second bonding areas, the second bonding areas being configured to engage the second bonding areas when the strips of adhesive are removed from the bonding areas to form a pocket, the implantable medical device being configured to disposal in the pocket.
25 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the implantable medical device is a pacemaker.
26 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the implantable medical device is a defibrillator.
27 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the sheet comprises an antimicrobial agent dispersed in the polymer.
28 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the sheet extends along a longitudinal axis between opposite first and second ends, the kit further comprising instructions, the instructions directing a user to create a first bonding area at the first end using one of the strips of adhesive and a second bonding area at the second edge using one of the strips of adhesive, the second edge being spaced apart from the first bonding area by a first non-bonding area, the first bonding area defining a first portion of a perimeter of the sheet, the second bonding area defining an opposite second portion of the perimeter, the instructions directing a user to create a third bonding area between the first and second bonding areas using one of the strips of adhesive, the third bonding area being spaced apart from the second bonding area by a second non-binding area.
29 . A surgical instrument as recited in claim 28 , wherein the instructions direct the user to fold the sheet along the longitudinal axis such that first portions engage the second portions.
30 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate consists of the sheet.
31 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the polymer is only applied to the first side.
32 . The kit recited in claim 21 , wherein the polymer is applied to the second side.
33 . A surgical kit comprising:
an implantable medical device; and a substrate configured for anchoring the implantable medical device within a patient's body; a plurality of strips of adhesive; and a plurality of strips of non-stick material, wherein the substrate extends along a longitudinal axis between opposite first and second ends, one of the strips of adhesive being configured to be applied to the first end to define a first bonding area, one of the strips of adhesive being configured to be applied to the second end to define a second bonding area that is spaced apart from the first bonding area by a first non-bonding area, the first bonding area defining a first portion of a perimeter of the substrate, the second bonding area defining an opposite second portion of the perimeter, one of the strips of material being configured to be applied to the substrate to define a third bonding area between the first and second bonding areas, the third bonding area being spaced apart from the second bonding area by a second non-binding area, and wherein the substrate is configured to be folded along the longitudinal axis such that first portions of the bonding areas engage second portions of the bonding areas.
34 . The kit recited in claim 33 , further comprising scissors for customizing the sheet.
35 . The kit recited in claim 33 , wherein the substrate consists of the sheet.
36 . The kit recited in claim 33 , wherein the substrate comprises opposite first and second sides, the sheet comprising a polymer applied to the first side, the sheet comprising a hemostatic agent dispersed in the polymer.
37 . The kit recited in claim 36 , wherein the polymer is only applied to the first side.
38 . The kit recited in claim 36 , wherein the polymer is applied to the first side and the second side.
39 . The kit recited in claim 36 , wherein the strips of adhesive are configured to be coupled to the polymer to define the bonding areas.
40 . A kit for implanting a medical device, the kit comprising:
an implantable medical device; a substrate comprising a planar sheet having opposite first and second sides, the sheet comprising a polymer applied to the first side, the sheet comprising a hemostatic agent dispersed in the polymer; a plurality of strips of adhesive; and a plurality of strips of non-stick material, wherein the strips of adhesive are configured to be applied to the polymer to define a plurality of bonding areas and the strips of adhesive are configured to be applied to the strips of adhesive, wherein the strips of adhesive are spaced apart from the substrate, wherein the substrate is free of adhesive, wherein the bonding areas include first bonding areas and second bonding areas, the second bonding areas being configured to engage the second bonding areas when the strips of adhesive are removed from the bonding areas to form a pocket, the implantable medical device being configured to disposal in the pocket, wherein the implantable medical device is a pacemaker, wherein the sheet comprises an antimicrobial agent dispersed in the polymer, wherein the substrate consists of the sheet, and wherein the polymer is only applied to the first side.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
