Abstract

Systems and methods for a sale authorization include detecting vehicle information. A secondary authorization parameter is received and the sale is authorized in response to the secondary authorization parameter being associated with the vehicle information.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A method, comprising:
receiving an image of a vehicle approaching a sales point; obtaining vehicle information from the image; obtaining a payment authorization parameter registered to the vehicle information; obtaining a secondary authorization parameter from the sales point; and completing a sale at the sales point when the payment authorization parameter matches the secondary authorization parameter.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein receiving further includes receiving the image from a camera when the vehicle drives over pressure strips on the ground proximate to the sales point.

4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein receiving further includes receiving the image from a camera when the vehicle is detected by sensors proximate to the sales point.

5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein receiving the image from the camera further comprises activating the camera based on one or more of the sensors comprising an Infrared (IR) sensor, a laser sensor, an echo-location sensor, and an image sensor.

6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein obtaining the vehicle information further includes identifying from the image as the vehicle information one or more of: a license plate number of the vehicle, a type of the vehicle, a color of the vehicle, and a model of the vehicle.

7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein obtaining the payment authorization parameter further includes obtaining a registered payment method linked to the vehicle information.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter further includes passively obtaining the secondary authorization parameter as a customer associated with the vehicle operates the sales point.

9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter further includes obtaining the secondary authorization parameter from an input provided by a customer associated with the vehicle.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter from the input further includes obtaining the input from a customer-operated device.

11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter from the input further includes obtaining the input from an interface of the sales point operated by the customer.

12 . The method of claim 7 , wherein completing the sale further includes processing a payment for the sale with a payment system using the registered payment method.

         13 . A method, comprising:
obtaining a registration of a customer for vehicle-based transaction processing, wherein the registration comprising a customer identifier, an authorization parameter, a form of payment, and vehicle information for a vehicle of the customer; identifying the vehicle at a sales point; matching captured vehicle information for the vehicle at the sales point against the registration; obtaining a secondary authorization parameter for the customer at the sales point; verifying the secondary authorization parameter matches the authorization parameter of the registration; and processing a payment for a transaction at the sales point using the form of payment from the registration based on the verifying.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter further includes obtaining the secondary authorization parameter from a sensor integrated into the sales point as the customer operates the sales point.

15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter further includes obtaining the secondary authorization parameter as a facial image of the customer, a retinal scan of the customer, fingerprints of the customer, or a voice sample of the customer captured at the sales point.

16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein obtaining the secondary authorization parameter further includes receiving the secondary authorization parameter as a facial image of the customer, a retinal scan of the customer, fingerprints of the customer, or a voice sample of the customer captured by a mobile device operated by the customer at the sales point.

17 . The method of claim 13 , wherein processing further includes obtaining an authorization to proceed with the processing of the payment using the form of payment from a mobile device operated by the customer.

18 . The method of claim 13 , wherein processing further includes identifying a registered gesture made by the customer at the sales point upon concluding the transaction with the sales point, wherein the registration comprises the registered gesture, and determining that the registered gesture indicates that the customer authorizes the payment with the form of payment for the transaction.

19 . The method of claim 13 , wherein processing further includes performing a fraud check before the processing of the payment to determine when the form of payment was associated with a second transaction that was processed within a predefined period of time of the transaction.

         20 . A system, comprising:
a sales point device; sensors; a server; and a Point-Of-Sale (POS) system associated with the sales point device; wherein the sales point device configured to perform a transaction of a customer; wherein the sensors configured to provide sensor data to the server for a vehicle and for a customer at the sales point device; wherein the server configured to match vehicle information obtained from the sensor data for the vehicle to a registered vehicle of the customer, match a secondary authorization parameter obtained from the sensor data for the customer to a registered authorization parameter of the customer, and process a payment for the transaction with the POS system using a registered form of payment of the customer when the secondary authorization parameter matches the registered authorization parameter.

21 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the sales point device comprises a fuel dispenser device, a car wash device, or a drive through device.
