Abstract
The present invention is directed to a combination therapy involving a selective Bcl-2 inhibitor and a MEK inhibitor for the treatment of a patient in need of such a therapy. The patient in need of the combination therapy is suffering from cancer, such as acute myeloid leukemia.

A pharmaceutical product comprising (i) a first composition comprising [3,4-difluoro-2-(2-fluoro-4-iodoanilino)phenyl]{3-hydroxy-3-[(2S)-piperidin-2-yl]azetidin-1-yl}methanone (cobimetinib) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and (ii) a second composition comprising 4-(4-{[2-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,4-dimethylcyclohex-1-en-1-yl]methyl}piperazin-1-yl)-N-({3-nitro-4-[(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ylmethyl)amino]phenyl}sulfonyl)-2-(1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-5-yloxy)benzamide (ABT-199) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
18 . The pharmaceutical product of claim 17 wherein the first composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
19 . The pharmaceutical product of claim 17 wherein the second composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
