Abstract
Controlling environmental conditions. A method includes using one or more sensors in a location, identifying an entity in the location. The method further includes identifying one or more roles for the entity. The method further includes based on the one or more roles for the entity, modifying environmental conditions in the location, by modifying one or more devices associated with the location.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system comprising:
a processor; a building control stored in memory and executable by the processor to: identify an entity at a location based on sensor data collected at the location; query a data store to identify one or more roles associated with the entity and one or more entity preferences associated with the entity; identify one or more predefined geographical limits for the entity within a building based on the identified one or more roles for the entity; and automatically adjust a building setting to change a physical condition within the predefined geographical limits, the building setting adjustment being selected based on the one or more entity preferences identified in association with the entity.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the building control is further configured to:
access a graph that defines a topology of areas in the building; and identify the one or more predefined geographical limits for the entity within the location based on the graph and the identified one or more roles for the entity.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the building control is further configured to:
identify a calendar appointment stored in the memory in association with the entity, the calendar appointment being further associated in the memory with a room in the building, wherein automatically adjusting the building setting includes adjusting an environmental condition within the room.
4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the building control automatically adjusts the building setting by adjusting a temperature setting within the room, the temperature setting being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
5 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the building control automatically adjusts the building setting by adjusting a chair configuration within the room, the chair configuration being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
6 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the building control automatically adjusts the building setting by adjusting lighting within the room, the lighting adjustment being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein identifying the entity comprises identifying the entity using biometric input data from one or more sensors.
8 . A method comprising:
identifying an entity at a location based on sensor data collected at the location; querying a data store to identify one or more roles associated with the entity and one or more entity preferences associated with the entity; identifying one or more predefined geographical limits for the entity within a building based on the identified one or more roles for the entity; and automatically adjusting a building setting to change a physical condition within the predefined geographical limits, the building setting adjustment being selected based on the one or more entity preferences identified in association with the entity.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
accessing a graph that defines a topology of areas in the building; and identifying the one or more predefined geographical limits for the entity within the location based on the graph and the identified one or more roles for the entity.
10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
identifying a calendar appointment stored in the memory in association with the entity, the calendar appointment being further associated in the memory with a room in the building, wherein automatically adjusting the building setting includes adjusting an environmental condition within the room.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein automatically adjusting the building setting further comprises:
adjusting a temperature setting within the room, the temperature setting being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein automatically adjusting the building setting further comprises:
adjusting a chair configuration within the room, the chair configuration being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein automatically adjusting the building setting further comprises:
adjusting lighting within the room, the lighting adjustment being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein identifying the entity comprises identifying the entity using biometric input data from one or more sensors.
15 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing computer-executable instructions for executing a computer process, the computer process comprising:
identifying an entity at a location based on sensor data collected at the location; querying a data store to identify one or more roles associated with the entity and one or more entity preferences associated with the entity; identifying one or more predefined geographical limits for the entity within a building based on the identified one or more roles for the entity; and automatically adjusting a building setting to change a physical condition within the predefined geographical limits, the building setting adjustment being selected based on the one or more entity preferences identified in association with the entity.
16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 15 , wherein the computer process further comprises:
accessing a graph that defines a topology of areas in the building; and identifying the one or more predefined geographical limits for the entity within the location based on the graph and the identified one or more roles for the entity.
17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 15 , wherein the computer process further comprises:
identifying a calendar appointment stored in the memory in association with the entity, the calendar appointment being further associated in the memory with a room in the building, wherein automatically adjusting the building setting includes adjusting an environmental condition within the room.
18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 17 , wherein automatically adjusting the building setting includes:
adjusting a temperature setting within the room, the temperature setting being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 17 , wherein automatically adjusting the building setting includes:
adjusting a chair configuration within the room, the chair configuration being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.
20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 17 , wherein automatically adjusting the building setting includes:
adjusting lighting within the room, the lighting adjustment being selected based on the one or more entity preferences.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
