Apparatus and method to control a mobile terminal

Abstract

An apparatus, method and storage medium to control a mobile terminal. The apparatus including a first communicator configured to receive configuration information from a target device using first wireless communication; a memory; and a processor configured to be in communication with the memory, wherein the processor causes the apparatus to perform operations including: automatically launching a specific application on a mobile terminal based on reception of the configuration information, wherein the specific application is an application for receiving data from the target device using second wireless communication different from the first wireless communication.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:
 causing a first communicator to receive configuration information from a target device using first wireless communication; and   automatically launching a specific application on the mobile terminal based on reception of the configuration information,   wherein the specific application is an application for receiving data from the target device using second wireless communication different from the first wireless communication.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 causing a second communicator to establish a second wireless communication connection with the target device in accordance with the configuration information received by the first communicator, wherein the specific application is an application to receive data by the established second wireless communication connection.   
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the specific application is an application to display data received from the target device using the second wireless communication. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the specific application is an application to transmit data to the target device using the second wireless communication. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 4 , wherein the specific application displays data transmittable to the target device using the second wireless communication. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the specific application is an application to be specified using the configuration information. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the first wireless communication is proximity communication. 
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the first wireless communication is near field communication (NFC). 
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the second wireless communication is wireless LAN communication. 
     
     
         10 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the data to be received from the target device is image data. 
     
     
         11 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the target device is a printer. 
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the specific application is automatically launched in a state where the target device is set as a device from which data is to be received on the mobile terminal based on reception of the configuration information. 
     
     
         13 . A terminal, comprising:
 a first communicator configured to receive configuration information from a target device using first wireless communication;   a memory; and   a processor configured to be in communication with the memory,   wherein the processor causes the terminal to perform operations including:
 automatically launching a specific application on a mobile terminal based on reception of the configuration information, 
 wherein the specific application is an application for receiving data from the target device using second wireless communication different from the first wireless communication. 
   
     
     
         14 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium which stores a program for causing a computer to execute a method, the method comprising:
 causing a first communicator to receive configuration information from a target device using first wireless communication; and   automatically launching a specific application on a mobile terminal based on reception of the configuration information,   wherein the specific application is an application for receiving data from the target device using second wireless communication different from the first wireless communication.
