Abstract

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a message sent from a first client system associated with a first user to a second client system associated with a second user. The method includes parsing the message to identify one or more intents to offer information and one or more slots comprising values for information for a future event extracted from the message. The method includes sending, to the second client system, instructions for presenting a suggestion to execute a task associated with the future event. The suggestion references the values for information for the future event. The method includes receiving, from the second client system, an indication that the second user selected to execute the task associated with the future event. The method includes sending, to the second client system, instructions for presenting results of the executed task associated with future event.

Claims

receiving a message sent from a first client system associated with a first user to a second client system associated with a second user; parsing the message to identify one or more intents to offer information and one or more slots comprising values for information for a future event extracted from the message; sending, to the second client system, instructions for presenting a suggestion to execute a task associated with the future event, wherein the suggestion references the values for information for the future event; receiving, from the second client system, an indication that the second user selected to execute the task associated with the future event; and sending, to the second client system, instructions for presenting results of the executed task associated with future event.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the suggestion is presented in a message thread between the first user and the second user.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein parsing the message from the first user comprises performing a semantic parsing on the received message to extract the one or more intents and the one or more slots.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein parsing the message from the first user comprises processing the received message with a natural-language processing (NLP) algorithm to identify the one or more intents and the one or more slots.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the suggestion is generated based on the at least one of the identified intents to offer information and the values for the information associated with the future event.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining, based on privacy settings, whether presenting the suggestion to execute the task associated with the future event is allowed.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the suggestion to execute the task associated with the future event is generated using a machine-learning model.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the machine-learning model is trained based on user behavior history records associated with the second user, and
wherein the user history behavior records comprise one or more of:
information on past responses of the second user to suggestions to execute tasks associated with future events; or
information on an interaction rate of the second user with entity information of the particular information type associated with entities of the particular entity domain.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein privacy settings associated with the second user indicate that values for information for the future event can automatically be stored.

10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
storing, to a data store, the values for information for the future event.

11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
receiving, from the second client system associated with the second user, a search query for a profile record for an entity associated with the future event; retrieving, from the data store, the profile record for the entity, wherein the profile record comprises the values for information for the future event; and sending, to the second client system associated with the second user, instructions for presenting the profile record for the entity with the values for the future event.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
updating user behavior history records associated with the second user based on the received search query, wherein the user behavior history records comprise information for the future event; and storing the updated user behavior history records in association with a user profile of the second user.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the task associated with the future event is a suggestion to the second user to set a reminder for the future event, and wherein the method further comprises:
receiving, from the second client system associated with the second user, an indication from the second user confirming the reminder for the future event should be set; setting a timer for the reminder at a determined reminder time; and sending, to the second client system associated with the second user, instructions for presenting the reminder comprising the values for entity information to the second user.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein storing the values for information for the future event comprises storing the values for information for the future event in association with an identifier for a messaging thread in that the values for information for the future event are offered.

15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
receiving, from the client system associated with the second user, an indication that the second user returned to the messaging thread after being away for more than a pre-determined amount of time; retrieving all the values for entity information stored in association with the identifier for the messaging thread; and sending, to the client system associated with the second user, instructions to display the retrieved values for information for the future event on a screen of the client system, wherein the displayed values for information for the future event.

16 . One or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media embodying software that is operable when executed to:
receive a message sent from a first client system associated with a first user to a second client system associated with a second user; parse the message to identify one or more intents to offer information and one or more slots comprising values for information for a future event extracted from the message; send, to the second client system, instructions for presenting a suggestion to execute a task associated with the future event, wherein the suggestion references the values for information for the future event; receive, from the second client system, an indication that the second user selected to execute the task associated with the future event; and send, to the second client system, instructions for presenting results of the executed task associated with future event.

17 . The media of claim 16 , wherein the software is further operable when executed to present the suggestion in a message thread between the first user and the second user.

18 . The media of claim 16 , wherein parsing the message from the first user comprises performing a semantic parsing on the received message to extract the one or more intents and the one or more slots.

19 . The media of claim 16 , wherein parsing the message from the first user comprises processing the received message with a natural-language processing (NLP) algorithm to identify the one or more intents and the one or more slots.

20 . A system comprising: one or more processors; and a non-transitory memory coupled to the processors comprising instructions executable by the processors, the processors operable when executing the instructions to:
receive a message sent from a first client system associated with a first user to a second client system associated with a second user; parse the message to identify one or more intents to offer information and one or more slots comprising values for information for a future event extracted from the message; send, to the second client system, instructions for presenting a suggestion to execute a task associated with the future event, wherein the suggestion references the values for information for the future event; receive, from the second client system, an indication that the second user selected to execute the task associated with the future event; and send, to the second client system, instructions for presenting results of the executed task associated with future event.
