Accounting device and control program

Abstract

An accounting device according to an embodiment includes an input device that receives an instruction to start a job. A first display device includes a first screen facing a first direction towards a person who operates the input device. A change machine includes a depositing port for receiving money and a dispensing port for dispensing money. A second display device includes a second screen facing a second direction different from the first direction and towards a person who deposits money into the depositing port or receives money from the dispensing port. When the instruction received by the input device is to start a predetermined job that is different from the accounting transaction and that includes depositing money into the change machine or dispensing money from the change machine, the processor causes information supporting execution of the predetermined job to be displayed on the second screen.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An accounting device comprising:
 an input device;   a first display device that faces a first direction;   a change machine that includes a depositing port for receiving money and a dispensing port for dispensing money, the depositing and dispensing ports facing a direction different from the first direction;   a second display device that faces a direction different from the first direction; and   a processor configured to perform an accounting process on a transaction based on data that is input via the input device and money deposited into the change machine, and control the change machine to dispense change and control the first and second display devices to display information about the transaction, wherein   the processor is further configured to:
 generate a first screen to be displayed on the first display device and through which one of a plurality of jobs is selectable, and 
 when a first job that requires money be deposited into and/or dispensed from the change machine without performing the accounting process is selected through the first screen, generate a second screen to be displayed on the second display device, the second screen including information for assisting with the first job. 
   
     
     
         2 . The device according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a memory that stores a flag indicating one of the first and second display devices for displaying information, wherein   the processor is further configured to update the flag based on a job selected via the first screen.   
     
     
         3 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the second display device is disposed to be visible from a position of an operator operating the change machine. 
     
     
         4 . The device according to  claim 3 , wherein the change machine and the second display device face the same direction. 
     
     
         5 . The device according to  claim 3 , wherein the second display device is disposed above a counter table and faces a direction opposite to the first direction. 
     
     
         6 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer including an input device, a first display device that faces a first direction, a change machine that includes a depositing port for receiving money and a dispensing port for dispensing money, the depositing and dispensing ports facing a direction different from the first direction, and a second display device that faces a direction different from the first direction, to execute a method comprising:
 performing an accounting process on a transaction based on data that is input via the input device and money deposited into the change machine, and controlling the change machine to dispense change and controlling the first and second display devices to display information about the transaction, wherein   the method further comprises:
 generating a first screen to be displayed on the first display device and through which one of a plurality of jobs is selectable, and 
 when a first job that requires money be deposited to and/or dispensed from the change machine without performing the accounting process is selected through the first screen, generating a second screen to be displayed on the second display device, the second screen including information for assisting with the first job. 
   
     
     
         7 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 6 , wherein the method further comprises:
 storing in a memory a flag indicating one of the first and second display devices for displaying information based on a job selected via the first screen.   
     
     
         8 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 6 , wherein the second display device is disposed to be visible from an operator operating the change machine. 
     
     
         9 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 8 , wherein the change machine and the second display device face the same direction. 
     
     
         10 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 8 , wherein the second display device is disposed above a counter table and faces a direction opposite to the first direction. 
     
     
         11 . A method of controlling an accounting device including an input device, a first display device that faces a first direction, a change machine that includes a depositing port for receiving money and a dispensing port for dispensing money, the depositing and dispensing ports facing a direction different from the first direction, and a second display device that faces a direction different from the first direction, the method comprising:
 performing an accounting process on a transaction based on data that is input via the input device and money deposited into the change machine, and controlling the change machine to dispense change and controlling the first and second display devices to display information about the transaction, wherein   the method further comprises:
 generating a first screen to be displayed on the first display device and through which one of a plurality of jobs is selectable, and 
 when a first job that requires money be deposited to and/or dispensed from the change machine without performing the accounting process is selected through the first screen, generating a second screen to be displayed on the second display device, the second screen including second information for assisting with the first job. 
   
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the method further comprises:
 storing in a memory a flag indicating one of the first and second display devices for displaying information based on a job selected via the first screen.   
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the second display device is disposed to be visible from an operator operating the change machine. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 13 , wherein the change machine and the second display device face the same direction. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 13 , wherein the second display device is disposed above a counter table and faces a direction opposite to the first direction.
