Abstract
A method, device, system, and media are directed to controlling a multi-tuner radio. A voice command may be received and/or filtered. An operation of the radio may be modified based on the voice command. A gesture input may be received through a gesture pad. Another operation of the multi-tuner radio may be modified based on the received gesture input. A fingerprint may be recognized with a gesture pad. A user may be authenticated based on the recognized fingerprint. The operation or the other operation may be personalized based on the fingerprint. User training may be provided for the gesture input.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An automobile entertainment system for use in an automobile, wherein the automobile entertainment system is configured to carry out a computer implemented process, using instructions recorded on non-transient memory, comprising:
receiving a terrestrial radio signal using a first radio receiver, a satellite radio signal using a second radio receiver, and an internet radio signal using a third radio receiver; selecting at least one portion of a received radio signal for output; synchronizing settings of the automobile entertainment system with an electronic device; and outputting the portion of the received radio signal to the entertainment system's speakers based on the synchronized settings.
2 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , wherein the received radio signal comprises individual audio content items and the instructions further comprise determining which individual audio content items to output based at least partly on the synchronized settings.
3 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further comprise allowing a user to select to play or control the play of received audio content, wherein the received audio content is stored in a virtual station that the user can select to listen while the automobile is mobile, and allowing the user to skip forward or backwards the received audio content.
4 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , further comprising a graphical user interface that allows interaction with the automobile entertainment system.
5 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , wherein the electronic device is a mobile device.
6 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , wherein the electronic device is another automobile entertainment system.
7 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , further comprising receiving user input to modify the settings of the automobile entertainment system, the user input comprising a voice command.
8 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 1 , further comprising receiving user input to modify the settings of the automobile entertainment system, the user input comprising gesture input.
9 . An automobile entertainment system configured to be used in an automobile and comprising:
a first radio receiver configured to receive broadcast radio signals, a second radio receiver configured to receive satellite radio signals, and a third radio receiver configured to receive internet radio signals; a controller having a programmable selection scheme to control functions including received radio signals and portions thereof, and an output of the received radio signals and portions thereof; wherein a user can select at least one portion of a received radio signal for the output, and wherein the automobile entertainment system is further configured to synchronize settings of the entertainment system with settings of an electronic device and output the portion of the received radio signal to the entertainment system's speakers based on the synchronized settings.
10 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , wherein the received radio signal comprises individual audio content items and the instructions further comprise determining which individual audio content items to output based at least partly on the synchronized settings.

The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , further configured to allow a user to select to play or control the play of received audio content, wherein the received audio content is stored in a virtual station that the user can select to listen while the automobile is mobile, and allow the user to skip forward or backwards the received audio content.
12 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , further comprising a graphical user interface that allows interaction with the automobile entertainment system.
13 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , wherein the electronic device is a mobile device.
14 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , wherein the electronic device is another automobile entertainment system.
15 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , further configured to receive user input to modify the settings of the automobile entertainment system, the user input comprising a voice command.
16 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 9 , further configured to receive user input to modify the settings of the automobile entertainment system, the user input comprising gesture input.
17 . A method for operating an automobile entertainment system, comprising:
receiving a terrestrial radio signal using a first radio receiver, a satellite radio signal using a second radio receiver, and an internet radio signal using a third radio receiver; selecting at least one portion of a received radio signal for output; synchronizing settings of the automobile entertainment system with an electronic device; and outputting the portion of the received radio signal to the entertainment system's speakers based on the synchronized settings.
18 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 17 , wherein the received radio signal comprises individual audio content items and the instructions further comprise determining which individual audio content items to output based at least partly on the synchronized settings.

The automobile entertainment system of claim 17 , further comprising allowing a user to select to play or control the play of received audio content, wherein the received audio content is stored in a virtual station that the user can select to listen while the automobile is mobile, and allowing the user to skip forward or backwards the received audio content.
20 . The automobile entertainment system of claim 17 , wherein the electronic device is one of a mobile device and another automobile entertainment system.
21 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon to cause an automobile entertainment system to perform operations comprising:
receiving a terrestrial radio signal using a first radio receiver, a satellite radio signal using a second radio receiver, and an internet radio signal using a third radio receiver; selecting at least one portion of a received radio signal for output; synchronizing settings of the automobile entertainment system with an electronic device; and outputting the portion of the received radio signal to the entertainment system's speakers based on the synchronized settings.
22 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 21 , wherein the received radio signal comprises individual audio content items and the operations further comprise determining which individual audio content items to output based at least partly on the synchronized settings.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 21 , wherein the operations further comprise allowing a user to select to play or control the play of received audio content, wherein the received audio content is stored in a virtual station that the user can select to listen while the automobile is mobile, and allowing the user to skip forward or backwards the received audio content.
24 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 21 , further comprising a graphical user interface that allows interaction with the automobile entertainment system.
25 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 21 , wherein the electronic device is a mobile device or another automobile entertainment system.
