Dynamic language translation of web site content
Abstract
Methods, systems, and computer readable medium for providing translated web content. A request is received from a user for content in a second language translated from content in a first language from a first Internet source. The content in the first language is obtained and divided into one or more translatable components. Whether the one or more translatable components have been previously translated, via at least one of machine translation, human translation, and a combination thereof, into the second language and stored as translated components in a storage is determined. If there are one or more translatable components previously translated and stored, the content is generated in the second language by modifying the content in the first language so that at least some translatable components are replaced with corresponding translated components and sent in the second language to the user as a response to the request.

1 . A method implemented on a computer having at least one processor, storage, and a communication platform for providing translated content, comprising:
receiving a request, via a public network connection, for content in a second language to be translated from corresponding content in a first language; obtaining, based on the request, the content in the first language from an Internet source that hosts the content in the first language; dividing the content in the first language into translatable components; identifying, with respect to the translatable components, a set of translated components each of which is previously stored corresponding to one of the translatable components; translating, via machine translation, one or more translatable components that do not have translated components previously stored to generate one or more machine translated components in the second language; scheduling, at least some of the one or more machine translated components for human post-editing to generate a set of human post-edited translated components; generating the content in the second language based on the set of translated components previously stored, the set of human post-edited translated components, and remaining of the one or more machine translated components that are not human post-edited; and sending the content in the second language as a response to the request.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing each of the set of human post-edited translated components as a translated component for future use.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the content is an electronic mail or a text message.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the first language is related to a sender of the electronic mail or the text message.
5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the second language is related to an intended recipient of the electronic mail or the text message.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the translated components have been previously translated via machine translation with human post-editing.
7 . Machine readable and non-transitory medium having information stored thereon for providing translated content, wherein the information, once read by a machine, causes the machine to perform:
receiving a request, via a public network connection, for content in a second language to be translated from corresponding content in a first language; obtaining, based on the request, the content in the first language from an Internet source that hosts the content in the first language; dividing the content in the first language into translatable components; identifying, with respect to the translatable components, a set of translated components each of which is previously stored corresponding to one of the translatable components; translating, via machine translation, one or more translatable components that do not have translated components previously stored to generate one or more machine translated components in the second language; scheduling, at least some of the one or more machine translated components for human post-editing to generate a set of human post-edited translated components; generating the content in the second language based on the set of translated components previously stored, the set of human post-edited translated components, and remaining of the one or more machine translated components that are not human post-edited; and sending the content in the second language as a response to the request.
8 . The medium of claim 7 , wherein the information, once read by the machine, further causes the machine to perform storing each of the set of human post-edited translated components as a translated component for future use.
9 . The medium of claim 7 , wherein the content is an electronic mail or a text message.
10 . The medium of claim 9 , wherein the first language is related to a sender of the electronic mail or the text message.
11 . The medium of claim 9 , wherein the second language is related to an intended recipient of the electronic mail or the text message.
