Comparison and Visualization System

Abstract

A system and method for structuring search results for attribute comparison are presented. A product selection from a user device is received. The product selection has a plurality of attributes associated with it. A plurality of adjustable sliders configured to allow the user to refine a search is generated and caused to be displayed in a user interface of the user device. One or more adjustments of the plurality of adjustable sliders is received. In response to the user to an adjustment made to a first adjustable slider of the plurality of adjustable sliders, an analysis of a networked database for search results that match values indicated by the plurality of adjustable sliders including the adjustment made to the first adjustable slider is performed. The search results are caused to be presented on the user interface displayed on the user device.

1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
 receiving user input associated with an item;   monitoring information associated with the item;   detecting a change in the information associated with the item;   generating a notification indicating the change in the information associated with the item; and   communicating the notification to a mobile device for output.   
     
     
         2 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the change in the information associated with the item comprises a change in a price of the item on a marketplace system. 
     
     
         3 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 2 , wherein the notification indicates a new price of the item. 
     
     
         4 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 2 , wherein the change in the information associated with the item comprises an increase or a decrease in the price of the item on the marketplace system. 
     
     
         5 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the communicating the notification to the mobile device for output causes the notification to be displayed in a user interface at the mobile device. 
     
     
         6 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the user input comprises a request to be notified of relevant updates associated with the item. 
     
     
         7 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the mobile device comprises a smart phone. 
     
     
         8 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the mobile device comprises a smartwatch. 
     
     
         9 . One or more computer-readable storage media comprising instructions stored thereon that, responsive to execution by one or more processors, perform operations comprising:
 receiving user input associated with an item;   monitoring information associated with the item;   detecting a change in the information associated with the item;   generating a notification indicating the change in the information associated with the item; and   communicating the notification to a mobile device for output.   
     
     
         10 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 9 , wherein the change in the information associated with the item comprises a change in a price of the item on a marketplace system. 
     
     
         11 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 10 , wherein the notification indicates a new price of the item. 
     
     
         12 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 10 , wherein the change in the information associated with the item comprises an increase or a decrease in the price of the item on the marketplace system. 
     
     
         13 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 9 , wherein the communicating the notification to the mobile device for output causes the notification to be displayed in a user interface at the mobile device. 
     
     
         14 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 9 , wherein the user input comprises a request to be notified of relevant updates associated with the item. 
     
     
         15 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 9 , wherein the mobile device comprises a smart phone. 
     
     
         16 . The one or more computer-readable storage media of  claim 9 , wherein the mobile device comprises a smartwatch. 
     
     
         17 . A computing device comprising:
 a display; and   at least a memory and a processor to perform operations comprising:
 receiving user input to be notified of updates associated with an item listed for sale on a marketplace system; 
 receiving a notification indicating a change in information associated with the item; and 
 displaying the notification indicating the change in information associated with the item on the display. 
   
     
     
         18 . The computing device of  claim 17 , wherein the change in the information associated with the item comprises a change in a price of the item on the marketplace system. 
     
     
         19 . The computing device of  claim 17 , wherein the displayed notification indicates a new price of the item. 
     
     
         20 . The computing device of  claim 17 , wherein the computing device comprises a smart phone.
