Abstract
Users who are experiencing a shared content stream can exchange messages. Each user device can present a graphical user interface that includes controls to interact with a shared content stream being received and presented at the user device; a control to begin composing a message to other users who are receiving the shared content stream, and a display area to display previously received messages associated with the shared content stream. A message can be associated with a shared content stream, e.g., by providing a tag that identifies the content being played at the time the message was sent.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method comprising:
at a first device including a display, a non-transitory memory and one or more processors:
displaying, on the display, a graphical user interface (GUI) for a media application that allows a user of the first device to search or browse media content items provided by a media server;
displaying, within the GUI for the media application, an indication of a media content item that is available for playback on the first device;
displaying, within the GUI for the media application, a sharing control that is operable to initiate sharing of the media content item with a second device;
detecting a user input directed to the sharing control; and
in response to detecting the user input directed to the sharing control, triggering concurrent presentation of the media content item at the first device and the second device.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the second device is associated with a person with a corresponding contact entry that is accessible to the first device.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first device and the second device have subscriptions to a media service that provides the media content item.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first device can currently connect to the second device.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the media content item includes an audio content item.
26 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the media content item includes a video content item.
27 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the media content item includes a playlist that the user of the first device created.
28 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the media content item includes a radio station that is curated for the user of the first device.
29 . The method of claim 21 , wherein triggering concurrent presentation of the media content item at the first device and the second device comprises sending an invite to the second device to concurrently present the media content item.
30 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising:
displaying an indication that the second device is concurrently presenting the media content item.
31 . A first device comprising:
a display; one or more processors; a non-transitory memory; and one or more programs stored in the non-transitory memory, which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first device to:
display, on the display, a graphical user interface (GUI) for a media application that allows a user of the first device to search or browse media content items provided by a media server;
display, within the GUI for the media application, an indication of a media content item that is available for playback on the first device;
display, within the GUI for the media application, a sharing control that is operable to initiate sharing of the media content item with a second device;
detect a user input directed to the sharing control; and
in response to detecting the user input directed to the sharing control, trigger concurrent presentation of the media content item at the first device and the second device.
32 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the second device is associated with a person with a corresponding contact entry that is accessible to the first device.
33 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the first device and the second device have subscriptions to a media service that provides the media content item.
34 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the first device can currently connect to the second device.
35 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the media content item includes an audio content item.
36 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the media content item includes a video content item.
37 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the media content item includes a playlist that the user of the first device created.
38 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein the media content item includes a radio station that is curated for the user of the first device.
39 . The first device of claim 31 , wherein triggering concurrent presentation of the media content item at the first device and the second device comprises sending an invite to the second device to concurrently present the media content item.
40 . A non-transitory memory storing one or more programs, which when executed by one or more processors of a first device including a display, cause the first device to:
display, on the display, a graphical user interface (GUI) for a media application that allows a user of the first device to search or browse media content items provided by a media server; display, within the GUI for the media application, an indication of a media content item that is available for playback on the first device; display, within the GUI for the media application, a sharing control that is operable to initiate sharing of the media content item with a second device; detect a user input directed to the sharing control; and in response to detecting the user input directed to the sharing control, trigger concurrent presentation of the media content item at the first device and the second device.Cited by (0)
