Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method comprising:
 storing borrower information relating to a borrower, the borrower information comprising a borrower portfolio associated with a distributed ledger system; storing lender information relating to a lender, the lender information comprising a lender portfolio associated with the distributed ledger system; storing loan token information relating to a loan token associated with the distributed ledger system, the loan token information comprising:
 a unique ID;
 a total number of loan token units of the loan token;
 a total principal amount of an underlying loan to which the loan token corresponds;
 the borrower information; and
 the lender information;
   receiving payment information relating to a loan payment made by the borrower to the lender, the loan payment information comprising:
 the unique ID; and
 a principal payment amount;
   searching the distributed ledger system, based on the unique ID, to determine a plurality of owner portfolios, each owner portfolio owning a portion of the total number of the loan token units; determining, for each of the owner portfolios, a percentage token ownership, based on the portion of the loan token units owned by the respective owner portfolio and the total number of the loan token units; determining disbursement information comprising a disbursement amount for each of the owner portfolios, based on the principal payment amount and the respective percentage token ownership; and transmitting the disbursement information to the lender.

         2 . A method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 transferring, from the lender, to each of the owner portfolios, a disbursement corresponding to the respective disbursement amount.

         3 . A method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 transferring, from the owner portfolios, to the borrower portfolio, a number of the loan token units, based on said receiving the payment information.

         4 . A method according to claim 3 , wherein the number of the loan token units transferred to the borrower portfolio corresponds to a percent of the total principal amount of the loan represented by the principal payment amount.

         5 . A method according to  claim 3 , further comprising:
 creating a distributed ledger transaction to transfer the number of the loan token units to the borrower, wherein said transferring the number of the loan token units to the borrower is further based on a determination that all of a plurality of required signers have signed the distributed ledger transaction.

         6 . A method according to claim 5 , wherein the plurality of required signers comprises the borrower and the lender.

         7 . A method according to claim 6 , wherein the plurality of required signers further comprises a servicer and a validator.

         8 . A method according to claim 7 , wherein the servicer is associated with a servicing token.

         9 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein each of the owner portfolios is associated with one of a plurality of loan token pools.

         10 . A method according to claim 9 , wherein each of the plurality of loan token pools is associated with a trust.

         11 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the distributed ledger system comprises a blockchain system.
