Abstract

Provided are systems and methods for the contextual retrieval and contextual display of records. A search query and/or search results may be contextually enhanced based on (i) natural language processing (NLP) models, (ii) user behavior, and/or (iii) relationships between various entities involved in a search, such as between users, records, and/or fields of expertise. Contextually enhanced search results may be delivered and displayed to a user on a user interface in a contextually relevant order.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A computer system for contextual enhancement of search queries, comprising:
 one or more processors; and a memory, communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, including instructions executable by the one or more processors, individually or collectively, to implement a method for enhancing search queries, the method comprising:
 a) receiving from a user, via the user interface, a search query;
 b) performing a taxonomy extraction on the search query to determine a taxonomy filter;
 c) enhancing the search query by appending the taxonomy filter, to generate an enhanced search query; and
 d) executing the enhanced search query.

         2 . The computer system of claim 1 wherein (b) comprises using a natural language processing (NLP) model definition to perform the taxonomy extraction on the search query to determine the taxonomy filter.

         3 . The computer system of claim 2 , wherein the NLP model definition is based at least in part on a pattern of part-of-speech.

         4 . The computer system of claim 2 , wherein the NLP model definition is based at least in part on a pattern of regular expression.

         5 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein in (b) the taxonomy filter is determined in absence of additional user input.

         6 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein in (c) the taxonomy filter is appended to the search query to generate the enhanced search query in absence of additional user input.

         7 . A computer-implemented method for contextual enhancement of search queries, comprising:
 a) receiving from a user, via the user interface, a search query; b) performing a taxonomy extraction on the search query to determine a taxonomy filter; c) enhancing the search query by appending the taxonomy filter, to generate an enhanced search query; and d) executing the enhanced search query.

         8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein (b) comprises using a natural language processing (NLP) model definition to perform the taxonomy extraction on the search query to determine the taxonomy filter.

         9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the NLP model definition is based at least in part on a pattern of part-of-speech.

         10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the NLP model definition is based at least in part on a pattern of regular expression.

         11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein in (b) the taxonomy filter is determined in absence of additional user input.

         12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein in (c) the taxonomy filter is appended to the search query to generate the enhanced search query in absence of additional user input.

         13 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising machine-executable code that, upon execution by one or more computer processors, implements a method for contextual enhancement of search queries, comprising:
 a) receiving from a user, via the user interface, a search query; b) performing a taxonomy extraction on the search query to determine a taxonomy filter; c) enhancing the search query by appending the taxonomy filter, to generate an enhanced search query; and d) executing the enhanced search query.

         14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein (b) comprises using a natural language processing (NLP) model definition to perform the taxonomy extraction on the search query to determine the taxonomy filter.

         15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the NLP model definition is based at least in part on a pattern of part-of-speech.

         16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the NLP model definition is based at least in part on a pattern of regular expression.

         17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein in (b) the taxonomy filter is determined in absence of additional user input.

         18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein in (c) the taxonomy filter is appended to the search query to generate the enhanced search query in absence of additional user input.
