Systems and methods enabling real-time permission based privacy protection of real-time location and related location information
Abstract
Systems and methods are provided for enabling uses to instantly access real-time digital content, information, and services related to specific broadcast content or communications based on the specific broadcast area of the communication or the location of the users. Identifiers, communications, and broadcast channels are maintained and dynamically tracked based on geographic location, broadcast areas, date, and time, thereby enabling end users to access such real-time content based on such information, including using broadcast specific identifiers to identify specific communications and obtain additional information over voice and other services based on each specific communication. The system tracks and uses such identifiers, communications, and channels, separately or together with other information known or ascertainable by the systems, to provide users instant access to personalized, location, context, and communications specific, content, information, and services.

2 . A method for registering, curating and providing access to location information with a locational identifier (LID) registry, the method comprising:
receiving a request, from an electronic device of an owner via a network, to register a non-locational identifier owned by the owner and create a locational identifier for a physical location, the request including the non-locational identifier; verifying that the owner owns the non-locational identifier; converting the non-locational identifier to a locational address within the LID registry; communicating with the LID registry to verify that the locational address is unique and available within the LID registry; and registering the locational address to the owner and associating the non-locational identifier with the locational address within the LID registry.
3 . A method for accessing information regarding a physical location, comprising:
inputting, using a user interface of an electronic device, a phone number; presenting on a display of the electronic device a plurality of icons representing optional actions including placing a phone call and accessing additional information regarding a physical location associated with the telephone number; selecting, using the user interface, an icon to access additional information; sending an information request, via a communication interface of the electronic device, to a remote server communicating with a LID registry, the information request including the phone number; receiving an information response, via the communication interface from the remote server, including location information regarding the physical location; and presenting, on the display of the electronic device, the location information regarding the physical location.
4 . A method to enable end users to obtain instant access to unique, personalized real-time information, communications, content, and services related to print, radio, television, billboard, broadcast, and other media and communications, the method comprising:
receiving a request, via an electronic device via a communications network, from a user to access additional communications, content, or services related to a specific communication provided in media presented to the user; matching the request with the specific communication based on one or more of time of day, channel, broadcast area, identifier, and recipient device associated with the media; and providing the user with the additional communications, content, or services relating to the specific communication for presentation on the electronic device.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the additional communications, content, or services are based at least in part on one of 1) an actual or projected location of the user, 2) a broadcast area of the media, 3) the specific communication, and 4) the identifier.
6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the additional communications, content, or services are based at least in part on one of 1) the identity of the user, 2) the user's history, 3) the location proximity of the user to an actual or projected location, 4) the date and time of the request, 5) the connectivity of the user to a communications channel or communication providing the specific communication, 6) date and time of the specific communication, and 7) connectivity of the user to a third party identified in the specific communications.
7 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the additional communications, content, or services are based at least in part on context of the request.
8 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the user accesses the additional communications, content, or services by one or more of touch, gesture, eye or other motion, thought or voice command using the electronic device.
9 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the specific communication includes a unique location or other identifier, the method further comprising verifying that the location or other identifier is unique and available within a LID registry processing the request.
10 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the specific communication includes a non-unique location or other identifier associated with the media.
11 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the request from the user is received by one of voice or other input and wherein the electronic device comprises a wearable device.
12 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the request further comprises real-time, micro-location information provided by at least one of voice, text, scanning, phone, interactive televisions, glasses or other wearable devices, visual displays, voice and motion interactive interfaces, application programmer interfaces, SMS, or information imbedded in the file structure or protocol of an image.
13 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the request further comprises a location comprising at least one of a floor, room, or structural component of a specific building, house, project, or structure associated with the electronic device at the time of the request.
14 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the method is combined with tracking, reporting, and accounting systems that account for one of either payment charges assessed by content providers to users for access to the additional communications, content, or services, or fees paid by providers of communications channels and broadcast media based on the usage of location or other identifiers and access to the additional communications, content, or services.
15 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising identifying a location of the user or broadcast area of the media by reference to one of a public or private two dimensional xy coordinate system, a three-dimensional xyz coordinate system, hierarchical coordinates or alpha-numeric identifiers derived directly from or directly related to the general location or broadcast area.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
