Abstract

A patient visualization system having a computer communicatively coupled to a pressure sensor device to periodically receive pressure sensor data experienced by a subject at locations on the pressure sensor device and having non-transitory memory for storing machine instructions that are to be executed by the computer. The machine instructions when executed by the computer implement the following functions: formatting a user interface including a body area pressure representation indicating current subject body area pressure values in response to pressure sensor data experienced by the subject at locations on the pressure sensor device and one or more body area pressure history indications configured to visualize pressure of a body area over a period of time; and displaying the user interface including the body area pressure representation and the one or more body area pressure history indications.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A patient visualization system comprising:
a computer communicatively coupled to a pressure sensor device to periodically receive pressure sensor data experienced by a subject at locations on the pressure sensor device and having non-transitory memory for storing machine instructions that are to be executed by the computer, the machine instructions when executed by the computer implement the following functions: formatting a user interface including a body area pressure representation indicating current subject body area pressure values in response to pressure sensor data experienced by the subject at locations on the pressure sensor device and one or more body area pressure history indications configured to visualize pressure of a body area over a period of time; and displaying the user interface including the body area pressure representation and the one or more body area pressure history indications.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the period of time is an interval of a reposition timer.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user interface is configured to receive one or more selections of body areas, and the user interface configured to the one or more body area pressure history indications in response to the one or more selections of body areas.

4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the one or more selections of body areas are selected from the group consisting of elbow, tailbone, and heel.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more body area pressure history indications are one or more body area pressure history graphical representations.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more body area pressure history indications are one or more body area pressure history pie charts.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more body area pressure history indications includes an amount of time with each of a number of pressure categories.

         8 . A patient visualization system comprising:
a computer communicatively coupled to a pressure sensor device to periodically receive pressure sensor data experienced by a subject at locations on the pressure sensor device and having non-transitory memory for storing machine instructions that are to be executed by the computer, the machine instructions when executed by the computer implement the following functions: formatting a user interface including a body position history and a body area pressure history in response to pressure sensor data experienced by the subject at locations on the pressure sensor device; and displaying the user interface including the body position history and a body area pressure history.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the body area pressure history is represented as a number of pie charts.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the body position history is represented as a number of body position percentages.

11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein each of the number of body position percentages is associated with a body position.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the body position is selected from the group consisting of: back, right, left, front, and out of bed.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the body position history is located in a lower region of the user interface.

14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the body area pressure history is located in a peripheral region of the user interface.

         15 . A patient visualization system comprising:
a computer communicatively coupled to a pressure sensor device to periodically receive pressure sensor data experienced by a subject at locations on the pressure sensor device and having non-transitory memory for storing machine instructions that are to be executed by the computer, the machine instructions when executed by the computer implement the following functions: formatting a user interface including a bottomed-out indicator indicating that the subject is lying on a bed frame situated under the pressure sensor device in response to pressure sensor data experienced by the subject at locations on the pressure sensor device; and displaying the bottomed-out indicator.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the bottomed-out indicator reads a value indicative of full pressure across a body area.

17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the body area is a sacral body region.

         18 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the bottomed-out indicator includes a bottomed-out warning indicator.

19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the bottomed-out warning indicator is situated around a body area experiencing a bottomed-out condition.

20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the bottomed-out indicator pulses.
