Abstract

Customized financial transaction cards may be generated using a custom card design session. A consumer device may request a custom card design session for a first financial institution. A consumer user interface template and configuration information for the consumer user interface template are retrieved responsive to the request from the consumer device, where the configuration information corresponds to the first financial institution. A user interface to the custom card design session is generated by configuring configurable elements of the consumer user interface template based on a session context of the request from the consumer device and the configuration information. The user interface is provided to the consumer device and a custom card design generated through interaction with the user interface is provided to an administrative device associated with the first financial institution.

Claims

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the session context of the request from the consumer device includes a user context, wherein the user context is determined based on information about the consumer device received with the request from the consumer device.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the session context of the request from the consumer device includes a product context relating to a custom card designed through interaction with the user interface to the custom card design session at the consumer device.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the product context provides a delivery method for the custom card.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration information corresponding to the first financial institution is selected from a plurality of configuration instructions associated with a plurality of financial institutions including the first financial institution.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising, responsive to receiving approval of the custom card design from the administrative user, generating a custom card corresponding to the custom card design.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing, based on communications with an administrative user associated with a second financial institution, configuration information for configuration of the consumer user interface template to provide a user interface to a custom card design session associated with the second financial institution and instructions for approval of card designs created through interaction with the user interface to the custom card design session associated with the second financial institution.

8 . A system for generating customized financial transaction cards comprising:
a storage element; and one or more processors associated with the storage element, wherein the one or more processors are configured to:
receive a request from a consumer device to begin a custom card design session, the request including a session context and a first financial institution associated with the custom card design session,
retrieve, responsive to the request, a consumer user interface template and configuration information for the consumer user interface template, wherein the configuration information corresponds to the first financial institution,
generate a user interface to the custom card design session by configuring configurable elements of the consumer user interface template based on the session context of the request and the configuration information,
transmit the user interface to the custom card design session associated with the first financial institution to the consumer device, and
transmit, to an administrative user associated with the first financial institution, a custom card design generated through interaction with the user interface to the custom card design session at the consumer device.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to, responsive to a request from an administrative user associated with a second financial institution, store configuration information for configuration of the consumer user interface template to provide custom card design sessions to consumers associated with the second institution, the configuration information including a selection of a configuration from a plurality of configurations for a dynamic configurable element based on information received with a request for a custom card design session associated with the second financial institution.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the session context of the request includes a user context, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to determine the user context based on information about the consumer device received with the request.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the session context of the request includes a product context providing a delivery method for a custom card designed through interaction with the user interface to the custom card design session.

12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the configuration information corresponding to the first financial institution is chosen from a plurality of configuration instructions associated with a plurality of financial institutions including the first financial institution.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to, responsive to receiving approval of the custom card design from the administrative user, generate a custom card corresponding to the custom card design.

14 . One or more non-transitory computer readable media encoded with instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a custom card design server, cause the custom card design server to:
receive a request from a consumer device to begin a custom card design session, the request including a session context and a first financial institution associated with the custom card design session; retrieve, responsive to the request, a consumer user interface template and configuration information for the consumer user interface template, wherein the configuration information corresponds to the first financial institution; generate a user interface to the custom card design session by configuring configurable elements of the consumer user interface template based on the session context of the request and the configuration information; provide the user interface to the custom card design session associated with the first financial institution to the consumer device; and provide, to an administrative user associated with the first financial institution, a custom card design generated through interaction with the user interface to the custom card design session at the consumer device.

         15 .
