Abstract

The present invention describes novel heteroaryl butanoic acid derivatives that are good drug candidates especially with regard to leukotriene A4 hydrolase (LTA4H). The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising said novel heteroaryl butanoic acid derivatives, methods of using said compounds in the treatment of various diseases and disorders, and processes for preparing the said novel compounds.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A compound which is (S)-3-amino-4-(5-(4-((5-chloro-3-fluoropyridin-2-yl)oxy)phenyl)-2H-tetrazol-2-yl)butanoic acid, having Formula:

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

2 . The compound according to claim 1 which is in a free salt form.

3 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to claim 1 ; and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers.

4 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to claim 2 ; and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers.

5 . A combination comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to claim 1 ; and one or more therapeutically active co-agents.

6 . A combination comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to claim 2 ; and one or more therapeutically active co-agents.

7 . A method of modulating LTA4H activity in a subject, wherein the method comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of the compound according to claim 1 .

8 . A method of modulating LTA4H activity in a subject, wherein the method comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of the compound according to claim 2 .

9 . A method of treating a disease or disorder associated with leukotriene A4 hydrolase (LTA4H) activity, wherein the method comprises administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 , wherein the disease or disorder is selected from acute or chronic inflammation, anaphylactic reactions, allergic reactions, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, immune complex-mediated pulmonary injury and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, gastrointestinal ulcers, neutrophilic dermatoses, immune-complex-mediated glomerulonephritis, autoimmune diseases, vasculitides, cardiovascular disorders, sepsis, inflammatory and neuropathic pain including arthritic pain, periodontal disease, ear infections, migraine, benign prostatic hyperplasia, Sjogren-Larsson Syndrome and cancers

10 . A method of treating a disease or disorder associated with leukotriene A4 hydrolase (LTA4H) activity, wherein the method comprises administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 2 , wherein the disease or disorder is selected from acute or chronic inflammation, anaphylactic reactions, allergic reactions, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, immune complex-mediated pulmonary injury and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, gastrointestinal ulcers, neutrophilic dermatoses, immune-complex-mediated glomerulonephritis, autoimmune diseases, vasculitides, cardiovascular disorders, sepsis, inflammatory and neuropathic pain including arthritic pain, periodontal disease, ear infections, migraine, benign prostatic hyperplasia, Sjogren-Larsson Syndrome and cancers
