Mobile device interfaces
Abstract
Electronic devices, interfaces for electronic devices, and techniques for interacting with such interfaces and electronic devices are described. For instance, this disclosure describes an example electronic device that includes sensors, such as multiple front-facing cameras to detect orientation and/or location of the electronic device relative to an object and one or more inertial sensors. Users of the device may perform gestures on the device by moving the device in-air and/or by moving their head, face, or eyes relative to the device. In response to these gestures, the device may perform operations.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 23 . (canceled)
24 . A method comprising:
presenting first information relating to at least one of a message or a voicemail on a display of a device; receiving data from one or more sensors of the device; and presenting second information relating to at least one of the message or the voicemail on the display at least partly in response to receiving the data, the second information being presented without opening at least one of the message or the voicemail.
25 . The method of claim 24 wherein the first information relates to the message and the second information includes at least one of a sender of the message, other recipients of the message, a subject of the message, a part of content of the message, or an entirety of the content of the message.
26 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the message comprises a first message and the first information relates to the first message and a second message, the second information including at least one of senders of the first message and the second message, other recipients of the first message and the second message, subjects of the first message and the second message, parts of content of the first message and the second message, or an entirety of the content of the first message and the second message.
27 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the first information relates to the voicemail and the second information includes at least one of a sender of the voicemail, a time the voicemail was received, or a duration of the voicemail.
28 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the first information includes a meeting reminder associated with a meeting and the second information includes a title of the meeting, a location of the meeting, or a time that the meeting is scheduled to occur.
29 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the one or more sensors include at least one of an accelerometer or a gyroscope and the data includes motion data captured by at least one of the accelerometer or the gyroscope.
30 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the one or more sensors include one or more cameras disposed on a front surface of the device and the data includes image data captured by the one or more cameras.
31 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the first information is presented in a lock screen mode that allows limited access to content stored on the device and the second information is presented in an unlocked screen mode that allows access to the content stored on the device.
32 . The method of claim 31 , further comprising presenting the second information in the unlocked screen mode based at least in part on receiving the data from the one or more sensors.
33 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the first information is presented on a first panel of a user interface (UI) displayed via the display and the second information is presented on a second panel of the UI.
34 . An electronic device comprising:
one or more processors; one or more sensors; a display; and one or more computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform acts comprising: presenting first information relating to one or more messages on a display of a device; receiving touch input data via a touch sensor associated with the display; and presenting second information relating to the one or more messages on the display at least partly in response to receiving the touch input data, the second information being presented without opening the one or more messages.
35 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the touch input data indicates a swipe gesture performed on the display.
36 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the touch input data indicates a tap-and-hold gesture performed on the display.
37 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the first information includes an indication that the one or more messages have been received and the second information includes at least one of a sender of the one or more messages, other recipients of the one or more messages, a subject of the one or more messages, a part of content of the one or more messages, or an entirety of the content of the one or more messages.
38 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the one or more messages are presented via an email application and the one or more messages comprises one or more email messages.
39 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the first information includes an indication of a number of the one or more messages that have been received and the second information includes a sender of the one or more messages and a part of content of the one or more messages.
40 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the touch input data comprises first touch input data, the acts further comprise:
receiving second touch input data via the touch sensor; and presenting the first information relating to the one or more messages on the display at least partly in response to receiving the second touch input data.
41 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the first information is presented in a lock screen mode that allows limited access to content stored on the device and the second information is presented in an unlocked screen mode that allows access to the content stored on the device.
42 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein the first information is presented on a first panel of a user interface (UI) displayed on the display and the second information is presented on a second panel of the UI.
43 . The electronic device of claim 34 , wherein presenting the second information comprises reducing a size of an area of the display in which the first information is presented and presenting the second information on the display concurrently with the first information.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
