Abstract
Media players and other electronic devices may operate under a first protocol to control media capture devices that operate with a second protocol which may not be configurable to communicate with the first protocol. For example, a network device may store and/or render content within a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) network and/or assist in content delivery for a DLNA device on a network. A media capture device may use Internet Protocol.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
receiving a media playback instruction configured to alter playback of media by a media playback device; and sending, based on the media playback instruction and to a media capture device, a camera control command configured to control a camera.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the camera control command comprises a command to cause one or both of panning or zooming of the camera.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the media playback instruction comprises one or more of a play command, a rewind command, or a fast forward command.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving the media playback instruction comprises receiving the media playback instruction via a first protocol and wherein the sending the camera control command comprises sending the camera control command via a second protocol different from the first protocol.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the camera control command comprises a command to cause the camera to capture new media.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the media capture device comprises the camera and is configured to control the camera based on the camera control command.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining the camera control command based on information associating each of a plurality of different media playback instructions with one of a plurality of different camera control commands.
8 . An apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the apparatus to:
receive a media playback instruction configured to alter playback of media by, a media playback device; and
send, based on the media playback instruction and to a media capture device, a camera control command configured to control a camera.
9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the camera control command comprises a command to cause one or both of panning or zooming of the camera.
10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the media playback instruction comprises one or more of a play command, a rewind command, or a fast forward command.
11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the apparatus to:
receive the media playback instruction by receiving the media playback instruction via a first protocol; and send the camera control command by sending the camera control command via a second protocol different from the first protocol.
12 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the camera control command comprises a command to cause the camera to capture new media.
13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the media capture device comprises the camera and is configured to control the camera based on the camera control command.
14 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the apparatus to determine the camera control command based on information associating each of a plurality of different media playback instructions with one of a plurality of different camera control commands.
15 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
receiving a media playback instruction configured to alter playback of media by a media playback device; and sending, based on the media playback instruction and to a media capture device, a camera control command configured to control a camera.
16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the camera control command comprises a command to cause one or both of panning or zooming of the camera.
17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the media playback instruction comprises one or more of a play command, a rewind command, or a fast forward command.
18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the receiving the media playback instruction by receiving the media playback instruction via a first protocol, and cause the sending the camera control command by sending the camera control command via a second protocol different from the first protocol.
19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the camera control command comprises a command to cause the camera to capture new media.
20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause:
determining the camera control command based on information associating each of a plurality of different media playback instructions with one of a plurality of different camera control commands.Cited by (0)
