Abstract

Foldable strollers and related methods are disclosed herein. An example frame for use with a stroller includes a first leg, a second leg, a first joint to couple the first leg and the second leg, a handle arm, and a second joint to couple the handle arm and the first leg. The second joint includes a first portion having a pocket and a second portion including a lock slidably disposed in the second portion. The lock is to be removably coupled to the pocket. The handle arm is to rotate relative to the first leg via the second joint when the lock is removed from the pocket. The rotation of the handle via the second joint is to enable the second leg to rotate relative to the first leg via the first joint to fold the frame.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A frame for use with a stroller, the frame comprising:
 a first frame member; a second frame member to support a wheel; and a joint, the first frame member coupled to the second frame member via the joint, the joint including:
 a housing;
 a first pin removably receivable in the housing;
 a second pin; and
 a lever, the second pin to engage the lever to cause the lever to rotate, the rotation of the lever to cause the first pin to be removed from the housing to enable the first frame member to rotate via the joint.

         3 . The frame of claim 2 , wherein the second pin is coupled to the lever via a cable.

         4 . The frame of claim 3 , wherein the rotation of the lever is to cause the cable to pull the first pin out of the housing.

         5 . The frame of claim 2 , wherein the second pin is to engage the lever in response to movement of the first frame member from a first position to a second position.

         6 . The frame of claim 2 , wherein the first pin is a spring-loaded pin.

         7 . The frame of claim 2 , wherein the second pin is a spring-loaded pin.

         8 . The frame of claim 2 , wherein at least a portion of the first frame member defines a handle.

         9 . A frame for use with a stroller, the frame comprising:
 a first leg; a second leg; a handle arm; a joint coupling the first leg and the handle arm, the joint including:
 a locking portion; and
 a release portion, the release portion removably coupled to the locking portion, the release portion to uncouple from the locking portion in response to movement of the handle arm to enable the second leg to rotate relative to the first leg.

         10 . The frame of claim 9 , wherein the handle arm is pivotable about the joint when the release portion is uncoupled from the locking portion.

         11 . The frame of claim 10 , wherein the handle arm is rotatable toward the first leg when the handle arm is pivoted about the joint.

         12 . The frame of claim 9 , wherein the joint is a first joint and further including a second joint to couple the first leg and the second leg.

         13 . The frame of claim 12 , further including a cable extending between the release portion and the second joint.

         14 . The frame of claim 9 , wherein the release portion includes a protrusion to be removably received in a pocket of the locking portion.

         15 . The frame of claim 9 , wherein the release portion includes a lever, the lever to rotate in response to movement of the handle arm to cause the release portion to uncouple from the locking portion.

         16 . A frame for use with a stroller, the frame comprising:
 a first frame member; a second frame member; a first housing; and a second housing, the first frame member and the second frame member coupled to the second housing, the second housing including:
 means for locking the second housing to the first housing; and
 means for driving, the means for driving to release the locking means to cause the second housing to uncouple from the first housing in response to movement of the first frame member.

         17 . The frame of claim 16 , wherein the locking means is spring-loaded.

         18 . The frame of claim 17 , wherein the driving means is spring-loaded.

         19 . The frame of claim 18 , wherein the locking means is operatively coupled to the driving means via a cable.

         20 . The frame of claim 16 , wherein the first frame member is rotatable relative to the second housing when the locking means is uncoupled from the second housing.

         21 . The frame of claim 16 , wherein the first housing and the second housing define a first joint and further including:
 a third frame member; and a second joint, the second frame member and the third member frame coupled to the second joint, the second joint operatively coupled to the first joint.
