Cluster based search and recommendation method to rapidly on-board commands in personal assistants
Abstract
The present invention provides assistance to a user that is on-boarding an action for a virtual assistant. Methods and systems provide, based on an initial command group, recommendations for additional commands, actions, and applications that are relevant to commands included in the initial command group. The initial command group includes commands that include a sequence of natural language words or tokens. Additional commands are determined. The additional commands are relevant to the initial commands and provided to the user as recommended commands to include in the command group. The additional commands are determined by employing the initial commands as search queries to search preprocessed document clusters. Each document included in the document clusters relates to a potential command to include in the command group. In response to receiving a selection of a recommended command, the command group is updated to include the selected recommended command.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A non-transitory computer storage medium storing computer-usable instructions that, when used by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations, comprising:
obtaining a command set associated with an action, each command of the command set being recognizable by a digital assistant to execute the action; generating a search query based on the command set; searching a language model utilizing the search query; identifying a ranked set of additional commands that are each relevant to the command set based on the search, wherein each additional command of the ranked set of additional commands is unrecognizable by the digital assistant; and generating an association between a first ranked command of the ranked set of additional commands and the action such that the digital assistant can recognize the first ranked command to execute the action.
22 . The medium of claim 21 , wherein the first ranked command is recognized within a speech command.
23 . The medium of claim 21 , wherein each additional command of the ranked set of additional commands is unrecognizable by the digital assistant to execute the new action.
24 . The medium of claim 21 , wherein the associated command set is obtained as the action is being generated.
25 . The medium of claim 21 , wherein the association between the first ranked command and the action is generated based on a selection that corresponds to the first ranked command.
26 . The medium of claim 25 , wherein the ranked set of additional commands is provided for display via a graphical user interface (GUI) and the selection is received via the GUI.
27 . The medium of claim 21 , wherein the generated association causes the first ranked command to be included in the command set.
28 . A computer-implemented method for updating a digital assistant system, comprising:
receiving, by the digital assistant system, a command set associated with an action being generated, each command of the command set being recognizable by a digital assistant as speech input to execute the generated action; determining, by the digital assistant system, a set of additional commands from a language model based on the command set; ranking, by the digital assistant system, the set of additional commands based on relevance to the command set, each additional command of the ranked set of additional commands being unrecognizable by the digital assistant; and generating, by the digital assistant system, an association between a first ranked command of the ranked set of additional commands and the action such that the digital assistant can recognize the first ranked command to execute the generated action.
29 . The method of claim 28 , further comprising:
generating a search query based on the command set, the set of additional commands being determined based on a search of the language model utilizing the search query.
30 . The method of claim 28 , further comprising:
receiving a speech command that includes the first ranked command; and executing the action based on a recognition of the first ranked command within the speech command.
31 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the association between the first ranked command and the action is generated based on a user selection that corresponds to the first ranked command.
32 . The method of claim 31 , wherein the ranked set of additional commands is provided for display via a graphical user interface (GUI) and the selection is received via the GUI.
33 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the action is associated with a particular application installed on the digital assistant system.
34 . A computerized system, comprising:
at least one processor, and at least one computer storage device storing computer-usable instructions that, when used by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: obtain a command set associated with an action, each command of the command set being recognizable by a digital assistant to execute the action; determine, based on the command set, a set of additional commands that are ranked based on a relevant command score determined for each additional command of the set of additional commands, wherein each additional command of the ranked set of additional commands is unrecognizable by the digital assistant to execute the action; and generate an association between a first ranked command of the ranked set of additional commands and the action such that the digital assistant can recognize the first ranked command to execute the action.
35 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the relevant command score is determined for the additional command based on a distance between the additional command and the command set.
36 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the association between the first ranked command and the action is generated based on a user selection that corresponds to the first ranked command.
37 . The system of claim 36 , wherein the ranked set of additional commands is provided for display to the digital assistant via a graphical user interface (GUI) and the selection is received via the GUI.
38 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to:
receive a speech command that includes the first ranked command; and execute the action based on a recognition of the first ranked command within the speech command.
39 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the set of additional commands are retrieved from a language model based on the command set.
40 . The system of claim 34 , where each command of the command set includes a corresponding series of keywords.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
