Abstract

A system for image capture and analysis that includes a database storing a plurality of first, second and third medical codes. The first medical codes are associated with diagnostic test identifiers, the second medical codes are associated with a test result and the third medical codes are associated with a recommended pharmaceutical product. A server is disposed on a network that includes a program therein for configuring the server to receive from a mobile device an image of a retail testing product. The server detects a diagnostic test identifier of the retail testing product in the image. The diagnostic test identifier identifies a type of test performed by the retail testing product. The server retrieves a first medical code from a database associated with the diagnostic test identifier and the retail testing product. The server performs digital image processing on the image of the retail testing product and determines test results indicated by the digitally processed image of the retail testing product. The server retrieves a second medical code from the database that is associated with the test results determined from the digitally processed image. The server determines a recommended pharmaceutical product useful in treatment of at least one medical condition associated with the retail testing product responsive to the test results and retrieves a third medical code from the database associated with the recommended pharmaceutical product. Finally, the server transmits the first medical code associated with the retail test product, the second medical code associated with the test results, and the third medical code associated with the recommended pharmaceutical product to a healthcare entity.
