Dental blank

Abstract

Provided is a dental blank. The dental blank includes: a seating portion provided in an artificial tooth processing apparatus; and a material portion configured to be inserted into the seating portion, wherein the material portion includes a plurality of outer contacting portions in contact with an inner side of the seating portion, and may have a polygonal shape in a cross-section.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A dental blank comprising:
 a seating portion provided in an artificial tooth processing apparatus; and   a material portion configured to be inserted into the seating portion,   wherein the material portion comprises a plurality of outer contacting portions in contact with an inner side of the seating portion, and has a polygonal shape in a cross-section.   
     
     
         2 . The dental blank of  claim 1 , wherein the outer contacting portions are in linear contact with an inner side surface of the seating portion along an insertion direction that the material portion is inserted into the seating groove. 
     
     
         3 . The dental blank of  claim 2 , wherein the material portion comprises a guard portion in contact with a side portion of the material portion and configured to protect the material portion. 
     
     
         4 . The dental blank of  claim 3 , wherein the guard portion is positioned to surround a side surface of the material portion. 
     
     
         5 . The dental blank of  claim 4 , wherein the guard portion has a polygonal shape in a cross-section. 
     
     
         6 . The dental blank of  claim 3 , wherein the guard portion is positioned at an upper portion or a lower portion of the material portion. 
     
     
         7 . The dental blank of  claim 1 , wherein the seating portion comprises a seating groove in which the material portion is seated, the seating groove having a circular shape in a cross-section. 
     
     
         8 . The dental blank of  claim 1 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion. 
     
     
         9 . The dental blank of  claim 2 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion. 
     
     
         10 . The dental blank of  claim 3 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion. 
     
     
         11 . The dental blank of  claim 4 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion. 
     
     
         12 . The dental blank of  claim 5 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion. 
     
     
         13 . The dental blank of  claim 6 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion. 
     
     
         14 . The dental blank of  claim 7 , wherein a dental prosthesis processed by the artificial tooth processing apparatus is formed at the material portion.
