Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining at least one parameter of two eyes (10l, 10r) of a test person (31), the method comprising the following steps:optically capturing of a first eye (10l; 10r) of the two eyes (10l, 10r) by means of a first capturing unit (3l; 3r);optically capturing the second eye (10r; 10l) of the two eyes (10l, 10r) by means of a second capturing unit (3r; 3l);transmitting first signals concerning the captured first eye (10l; 10r) from the first capturing unit (3l; 3r) to an analysis unit (27) and transmitting second sig-nals concerning the captured second eye (10r; 10l) from the second capturing unit (3r; 3l) to the analysis unit (27);determining the at least one parameter of the two eyes (10l, 10r) on the basis of the transmitted first and second signals in the analysis unit (27),characterized by the following step:setting a first data rate for the first signals and a second data rate for the sec-ond signals, wherein the first and the second data rate differ from each other, and wherein the transmitting of the first signals is effected at a first data rate and the transmitting of the second signals is effected at a second data rate.

         17 . A method comprising:
 generating a plurality of first images of a first eye of a user at a plurality of first scanning intervals;   generating a plurality of second images of a second eye of the user at a plurality of second scanning intervals, wherein each of the plurality of second scanning intervals are different from each of the plurality of first scanning intervals; and   determining at least one eye parameter of the user based on the plurality of first images and the plurality of second images.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein the plurality of first scanning intervals is determined by a first capturing rate and the plurality of second scanning intervals is determined by a second capturing rate. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the first capturing rate is equal to the second capturing rate. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the first capturing rate is different than the second capturing rate. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the plurality of first scanning intervals and the plurality of second scanning intervals are shifted by half a period. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein determining the at least one eye parameter of the user includes determining a value of the at least one eye parameter for each of the plurality of first scanning intervals and each of the plurality of second scanning intervals. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein the at least one eye parameter of the user is a pupil diameter. 
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein the at least one eye parameter of the user is a gaze direction or gaze point. 
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein generating the plurality of first images of the first eye of a user at a plurality of first scanning intervals includes illuminating the first eye of the user at the plurality of first scanning intervals using a first group of light sources and wherein generating the plurality of second images of the second eye of the user includes illuminating the second eye of the user at the plurality of second scanning intervals using a second group of light sources. 
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein the first group of light sources is on when the second group of light sources is off. 
     
     
         27 . A device comprising:
 a first image sensor to generate a plurality of first images of a first eye of a user at a plurality of first scanning intervals;   a second image sensor to generate a plurality of second images of a second eye of the user at a plurality of second scanning intervals, wherein each of the plurality of second scanning intervals are different from each of the plurality of first scanning intervals; and   a processor to determine at least one eye parameter of the user based on the plurality of first images and the plurality of second images.

The device of  claim 27 , wherein the plurality of first scanning intervals us determined by a first capturing rate and the plurality of second scanning intervals is determined by a second capturing rate, wherein the first capturing rate is equal to the second capturing rate.

The device of  claim 27 , wherein the plurality of first scanning intervals us determined by a first capturing rate and the plurality of second scanning intervals is determined by a second capturing rate, wherein the first capturing rate is different than the second capturing rate.

The device of  claim 27 , wherein the plurality of first scanning intervals us determined by a first capturing rate and the plurality of second scanning intervals is determined by a second capturing rate, wherein the plurality of first scanning intervals and the plurality of second scanning intervals are shifted by half a period. 
     
     
         31 . The device of  claim 27 , wherein the processor is to determine a value of the at least one eye parameter for each of the plurality of first scanning intervals and each of the plurality of second scanning intervals. 
     
     
         32 . The device of  claim 27 , wherein the at least one eye parameter of the user is a pupil diameter. 
     
     
         33 . The device of  claim 27 , wherein the at least one eye parameter of the user is a gaze direction or gaze point. 
     
     
         34 . The device of  claim 27 , further comprising:
 a first group of light sources to illuminate the first eye of the user at the plurality of first scanning intervals; and   a second group of light sources to illuminate the second eye of the user at the plurality of second scanning intervals using a second group of light sources.   
     
     
         35 . The device of  claim 27 , wherein the first group of light sources is on when the second group of light sources is off. 
     
     
         36 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium encoding instructions which, when executed, cause a processor to perform operations comprising:
 generating a plurality of first images of a first eye of a user at a plurality of first scanning intervals;   generating a plurality of second images of a second eye of the user at a plurality of second scanning intervals, wherein each of the plurality of second scanning intervals are different from each of the plurality of first scanning intervals; and   determining at least one eye parameter of the user based on the plurality of first images and the plurality of second images.
