Abstract

Systems and methods for determining a care plan for a patient are disclosed. Data from a one or more databases are received or retrieved and used to determine a preferred care plan used to perform a surgical procedure or otherwise treat a patient. The data may include data pertaining to a patient, a healthcare professional, a healthcare facility, an implant, economic data, simulation data, imaging data, and/or the like. The data may be used to determine a plan that provides a positive outcome and patient satisfaction. The data may be updated over time or in real time to improve or refine the determination of care plans for the current patient or other patients.

3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the instructions, when executed further cause the at least one processor to generate an updated healthcare plan based on the updated statistical model.

4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the real-time feedback comprises at least one healthcare operation of the updated healthcare plan.

5 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the real-time feedback comprises one or more of a cost of the updated healthcare plan and a likelihood of success of the updated healthcare plan.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the healthcare data comprises at least one of:
healthcare provider data comprising one or more of surgical product preference, scheduling information, surgical equipment requirements, and surgical staffing requirements; patient data comprising one or more of biometric information, demographic information, medical history information, scheduling information, and a prescribed surgical procedure; complication data comprising one or more of a potential negative effect of a surgical procedure, a likelihood of occurrence of the potential negative effect, and a cost associated with the potential negative effect; and performance data comprising one or more of implant information, revision procedure information, and joint flexion information.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the healthcare data comprises one or more of costs associated with supplies, costs associated with one or more healthcare operations, costs associated with medications, patient satisfaction information, patient re-admission information, medication information, facility information, and economic information.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed further cause the at least one processor to construct a plurality of statistical models for a plurality of potential healthcare plans.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein each statistical model comprises at least one of a cost of a potential healthcare plan and a likelihood of success of the potential healthcare plan.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed further cause the at least one processor to select the updated healthcare plan from the plurality of potential healthcare plans.

         11 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving healthcare data related to at least one episode of care provided by a plurality of healthcare providers for a plurality of patients; constructing, based on at least a portion of the healthcare data, a statistical model of a healthcare plan for a patient, receiving information regarding an outcome of a first healthcare operation of the healthcare plan; and providing, based at least in part on the statistical model and the information, real-time feedback related to the healthcare plan.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising updating the statistical model based on the information regarding the outcome of the first healthcare operation.

13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising generating an updated healthcare plan based on the updated statistical model.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the real-time feedback comprises at least one healthcare operation of the updated healthcare plan.

15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the real-time feedback comprises one or more of a cost of the updated healthcare plan and a likelihood of success of the updated healthcare plan.

16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the healthcare data comprises at least one of:
healthcare provider data comprising one or more of surgical product preference, scheduling information, surgical equipment requirements, and surgical staffing requirements; patient data comprising one or more of biometric information, demographic information, medical history information, scheduling information, and a prescribed surgical procedure; complication data comprising one or more of a potential negative effect of a surgical procedure, a likelihood of occurrence of the potential negative effect, and a cost associated with the potential negative effect; and performance data comprising one or more of implant information, revision procedure information, and joint flexion information.
