Container dividers for camera bags, backpacks, and other containers, and associated systems
Abstract
In aspects, the invention provides a modifiable backpack system comprising a backpack and an insertable two-position transformable divider wherein the insertable divider is selectively engageable with the backpack. In aspects the insertable divider comprises first and second panels having similar dimensions and connecting to each other through a flexible material, seam, or other hinge. In aspects the insertable divider repeatedly assumes a first or second stable position when the insertable divider is attached to the backpack and when sufficient force is applied to either the first or second divider panels such that both the first and second divider panels transitionally move about the flexible material, seam, or other hinge. In aspects the first and second divider panels are at least substantially perpendicular to each other in either the first or second stable positions. In aspects, the system provides an ability to relocate storage capacity from one formable compartment to another.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A modifiable backpack system comprising
(1) a backpack comprising a first mechanical attachment component and (2) an insertable two-position transformable divider wherein the insertable two position transformable divider
(a) comprises a second mechanical attachment component that selectively engages the first mechanical attachment component to attach the insertable two-position transformable divider to the backpack and to stably support the insertable two-position transformable divider within the backpack, where the insertable two-position transformable divider can be repeatedly inserted and removed from the backpack,
(b) comprises a first divider panel and a second divider panel that are of similar dimensions and that are connected to each other through a flexible material, seam, or other hinge, and
(c) repeatedly assumes either a first stable position or a second stable position when
(I) the insertable two-position transformable divider is attached to the backpack and
(II) a sufficient force is applied to either the first divider panel or the second divider panel such that both the first and second divider panels transitionally move in relation to the flexible material, seam, or other hinge;
wherein the first divider panel is horizontally oriented in the first stable position and vertically oriented in the second stable position; and wherein the first and second divider panels are perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to each other in either the first stable position or the second stable position.
2 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the insertable two-position transformable divider, when attached to the backpack, forms a first compartment area and a second compartment area in the backpack and the backpack is configured such that each of the first and second compartment areas can be accessed separately without entering the other compartment area.
3 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the insertable two-position transformable divider, when attached to the backpack, is stably maintained in a relationship with sidewalls of the backpack that facilitates storage of materials in the space at least partially defined by the sidewalls of the backpack and the insertable two-position transformable divider.
4 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 2 , wherein the insertable two-position transformable divider, when attached to the backpack, is stably maintained in a relationship with sidewalls of the backpack that facilitates storage of materials in the space at least partially defined by the sidewalls of the backpack and the insertable two-position transformable divider.
5 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the first mechanical attachment component and second mechanical attachment component are parts of a mechanical snap attachment mechanism.
6 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the first mechanical attachment component and second mechanical attachment component are parts of a hook-and-loop attachment mechanism.
7 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the first mechanical attachment component and second mechanical attachment component are parts of a wire or strap attachment mechanism.
8 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 4 , wherein the first mechanical attachment component and second mechanical attachment component are parts of a mechanical snap attachment mechanism.
9 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 4 , wherein the first mechanical attachment component and second mechanical attachment component are parts of a hook-and-loop attachment mechanism.
10 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 4 , wherein the first mechanical attachment component and second mechanical attachment component are parts of a wire or strap attachment mechanism.
11 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the insertable two-position transformable divider comprises a tab, a loop, or other component that facilitates the application of a pull force on the two-position transformable divider to ease transitioning the two-position transformable divider between the first position and the second position.
12 . The modifiable backpack system of claim 1 , wherein the backpack comprising the first mechanical attachment component and the insertable two-position transformable divider comprising the second mechanical attachment component are attached to one another via the first and second mechanical attachment components.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
