Abstract
The present disclosure relates generally to systems, devices and methods for disinfection of space and equipment. In particular, the present disclosure relates to systems, devices and methods, such as rolling enclosures, which use light sources, such as ultraviolet (UV) light, and more specifically UV-C light, to disinfect larger scale equipment or spaces. Systems and methods of the present disclosure are particularly useful in medical facilities for treating medical equipment or spaces, where the prevalence of pathogens requires frequent disinfecting.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A disinfection system, comprising:
a chamber comprising a first side wall, a second side wall and a back wall; an inner surface of each of the first side wall and the second side wall including at least one reflective unit; at least one energy source housed within each reflective unit; and a plurality of rolling elements disposed along a bottom surface of the chamber.
2 . The disinfection system of claim 1 , wherein the rolling elements are configured to move between a first position and a second position.
3 . The disinfection system of claim 2 , wherein the rolling elements extend beyond the bottom surface of the chamber when in the first position, and the rolling elements do not extend beyond the bottom surface of the chamber when in the second position.
4 . The disinfection system of claim 1 , further comprising a front wall, an inner surface of one or both of the front wall and back wall including at least one reflective unit or reflective surface.
5 . The disinfection system of claim 1 , further comprising a front wall, a top wall and a bottom wall.
6 . The disinfection system of claim 5 , wherein an inner surface of each of the front wall, the top wall and the bottom wall include at least one reflective unit or reflective surface.
7 . A disinfection system, comprising:
a robotic chamber comprising a first side wall, a second side wall and a back wall; a surf ace of each of the first side wall, second side wall and back wall including at least one reflective unit; and at least one energy source housed within each reflective unit.
8 . The disinfection system of claim 7 , wherein the robotic chamber includes a user interface, central processing unit and non-transitory computer readable storage medium, with computer executable code embodied therein which, when executed by the central processing unit, causes the robotic chamber to move between points of disinfection, control one or more disinfection operations of the system, monitor one or more sensors of the system or adjust the intensity of the energy source of one or more of the reflective units, based on input from the user interface or based on feedback received from the one or more sensors.
9 . The disinfection system of claim 7 , further comprising a front wall, a surface of the front wall including at least one reflective unit or reflective surface.
10 . The disinfection system of claim 9 , further comprising a top wall and a bottom wall, a surface of each of the top wall and the bottom wall including at least one reflective unit.
11 . The disinfection system of claim 10 , wherein the surface of each of the first side wall, second side wall, front wall, back wall, top wall and bottom wall, including the at least one reflective unit or reflective surface, faces into the interior of the chamber.
12 . The disinfection system of claim 7 , further comprising a plurality of rolling elements disposed along a bottom surface of the chamber.
13 . The disinfection system of claim 12 , wherein the rolling elements are configured to move between a first position and a second position.
14 . The disinfection system of claim 13 , wherein the rolling elements extend beyond the bottom surface of the chamber when in the first position, and the rolling elements do not extend beyond the bottom surface of the chamber when in the second position.
15 . A disinfection system, comprising:
a base; a first stack of reflective units rotatably attached to a top surface of the base; and a first array of energy sources housed within the first stack of reflective units.
16 . The disinfection system of claim 15 , wherein the base is a robotic base configured to be programmed with disinfecting parameters and contours or waypoints of a space, whereby the robotic chamber can automatically move about and disinfect the space according to the parameters and one or both of the contours and waypoints of the space.
17 . The disinfection system of claim 15 , wherein the base is configured to be moved manually.
18 . The disinfection system of claim 15 , further comprising a second stack of reflective units, and a second array of energy sources housed within the second stack of reflective units.
19 . The disinfection system of claim 18 , wherein the second stack of reflective units is disposed on top of the first stack of reflective units.
20 . The disinfection system of claim 15 , further comprising a plurality of rolling elements disposed about a bottom portion of the base.Cited by (0)
