Phone-less member of group communication constellations
Abstract
Systems and methods are described for intelligent grouping between group communication devices. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, at a remote management platform, a recorded audio message from a first communication device that device includes a cellular networking component capable of connecting the first communication device to a cellular network. The first communication device may have a default grouping with a set of additional communication devices. In some embodiments, the default grouping can be created at a factory when the communication devices are manufactured. In other embodiments, the first communication device and the set of additional communications devices can be automatically paired upon initialization via a local communication network. A linking request can be automatically sent to the remote management platform to create the default grouping (e.g., by creating an entry in a routing table at the remote management platform).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system comprising:
a first communication device having a first unique identifier; a second communication device having a second unique identifier, the first unique identifier and the second unique identifier assigned during manufacturing and having a matching portion; a remote management platform configured to:
manage communications for a plurality of groups of communication devices;
receive a registration message from the first communication device including the first unique identifier;
responsive to the registration message, generate a database entry for a default group including the first communication device and the second communication device based on the matching portion, the default group established for the first communication device and the second communication device during manufacturing; and
route messages between the first communication device and the second communication device based on the database entry.
2 . The system of claim 1 further comprising:
the first communication device configured to generate the registration message automatically upon an initial activation since manufacturing.
3 . The system of claim 1 further comprising:
the matching portion is based on the first communication device and the second communication device being packaged together during manufacturing.
4 . The system of claim 1 further comprising:
the remote management platform further configured to:
receive a request from the first communication device to add a new member to the default group, to create a modified group; and
update the database entry to include the member in the modified group including the first communication device, the second communication device, and the new member.
5 . The system of claim 4 further comprising:
the remote management platform further configured to:
generate a graphical user interface (GUI) accessible by the first communication device; and
receive the request via the GUI.
6 . The system of claim 4 further comprising:
the new member includes a bot configured to process natural language commands and generate a response;
the remote management platform further configured to:
receive a natural language message from the first communication device;
provide the natural language message to the bot based on the database entry; and
transmit a response from the bot to the first communication device.
7 . The system of claim 4 further comprising the request is received as a voice command.
8 . A method comprising:
managing communications for a plurality of groups of communication devices via a remote management platform, the communication devices including a first communication device having a first unique identifier, and a second communication device having a second unique identifier, the first unique identifier and the second unique identifier assigned during manufacturing and having a matching portion; receiving, at the remote management platform, a registration message from the first communication device including the first unique identifier; responsive to the registration message, generating a database entry for a default group including the first communication device and the second communication device based on the matching portion, the default group established for the first communication device and the second communication device during manufacturing; and routing messages, via the remote management platform, between the first communication device and the second communication device based on the database entry.
9 . The method of claim 8 further comprising generating the registration message automatically upon an initial activation of the first communication device since manufacturing.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the matching portion is based on the first communication device and the second communication device being packaged together during manufacturing.
11 . The method of claim 8 further comprising:
receiving, at the remote management platform, a request from the first communication device to add a new member to the default group, to create a modified group; and
updating the database entry, at the remote management platform, to include the member in the modified group including the first communication device, the second communication device, and the new member.
12 . The method of claim 11 further comprising:
generating, via the remote management platform, a graphical user interface (GUI) accessible by the first communication device; and
receiving the request via the GUI.
13 . The method of claim 11 further comprising:
adding the new member as a bot configured to process natural language commands and generate a response;
receiving a natural language message from the first communication device at the remote management platform;
providing the natural language message to the bot, via the remote management platform, based on the database entry; and
transmitting a response from the bot to the first communication device via the remote management platform.
14 . The method of claim 11 further comprising receiving the request as a voice command.
15 . A memory device storing instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to perform a method comprising:
implementing a remote management platform to manage communications for a plurality of groups of communication devices, including:
receiving a registration message from a first communication device including a first unique identifier;
responsive to the registration message, generating a database entry for a default group, including the first communication device and a second communication device, based on a matching portion of the first unique identifier and a second unique identifier associated with the second communication device, the default group established during manufacturing of the first communication device and the second communication device; and
routing messages between the first communication device and the second communication device based on the database entry.
16 . The memory device of claim 15 storing instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform the method further comprising:
generating the registration message automatically upon an initial activation of the first communication device since manufacturing.
17 . The memory device of claim 15 storing instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform the method further comprising:
receiving a request from the first communication device to add a new member to the default group, to create a modified group; and
updating the database entry to include the member in the modified group including the first communication device, the second communication device, and the new member.
18 . The memory device of claim 17 storing instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform the method further comprising:
generating a graphical user interface (GUI) accessible by the first communication device; and
receiving the request via the GUI.
19 . The memory device of claim 17 storing instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform the method further comprising:
adding the new member as a bot configured to process natural language commands and generate a response;
receiving a natural language message from the first communication device;
providing the natural language message to the bot based on the database entry; and
transmitting a response from the bot to the first communication device.
20 . The memory device of claim 17 storing instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform the method further comprising receiving the request as a voice command.Cited by (0)
