Abstract

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a server, comprising a processing system including a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations including receiving a request from a mobile device of a user having an account to access a first mobile application of a plurality of mobile applications, wherein each of the plurality of mobile applications is embedded into a single bundled application, and wherein the single bundled application is downloaded onto the mobile device, determining whether the mobile device has permissions for access to the first mobile application and whether the mobile device is executing the single bundled application, and sending permissions data to the mobile device that enables the mobile device via the account to access the first mobile application. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method comprising:
sending, by a processing system including a processor, a request to a server, from a mobile device of a user having an account, the request requesting permission to access, based on the account, at least one mobile application of a plurality of mobile applications embedded into a single bundled application, wherein the single bundled application, including the plurality of mobile applications embedded therein, is resident on the mobile device; retrieving, by the processing system, locally stored permissions data on the mobile device, wherein the locally stored permissions data provide access to a first subset of the plurality of mobile applications embedded into the single bundled application; accessing, by the processing system, at least one mobile application of the first subset of the plurality of mobile applications based on the locally stored permissions data; receiving, by the processing system, from the server, additional permissions data indicating availability of a first mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications, the first mobile application not included in the first subset, wherein the additional permissions data is associated with the account; and updating, by the processing system, the locally stored permissions data to include the first mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the additional permissions data indicates the availability of the first mobile application based at least in part on a location of the mobile device.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the additional permissions data indicates the availability of the first mobile application based at least in part on a condition of a mobile network in communication with the mobile device.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving from the server, by the processing system, data associated with the at least one mobile application while the processing system is currently executing the at least one mobile application.

5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
updating, by the processing system, the at least one mobile application to incorporate the data associated with the at least one mobile application.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving an alert from the server, by the processing system, that data associated with the first mobile application is available while the processing system is not currently executing the first mobile application.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the alert is delivered by a push notification service of a vendor of the mobile device.

8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the alert includes alarm information.

         9 . A mobile device, comprising:
a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: sending a request to a server, the request requesting permission to access, based on an account of a user of the mobile device, at least one mobile application of a plurality of mobile applications embedded into a single bundled application, wherein the single bundled application, including the plurality of mobile applications embedded therein, is resident on the mobile device; retrieving locally stored permissions data on the mobile device, wherein the locally stored permissions data provide access to a first subset of the plurality of mobile applications embedded into the single bundled application; accessing at least one mobile application of the first subset of the plurality of mobile applications based on the locally stored permissions data; receiving, from the server, additional permissions data indicating availability of a first mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications, the first mobile application not included in the first subset, wherein the additional permissions data is associated with the account; and updating the locally stored permissions data to include the first mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications.

10 . The mobile device of claim 9 , wherein the additional permissions data indicates the availability of the first mobile application based at least in part on a location of the mobile device.

11 . The mobile device of claim 9 , wherein the additional permissions data indicates the availability of the first mobile application based at least in part on a condition of a mobile network in communication with the mobile device.

12 . The mobile device of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:
receiving, from the server, data associated with the at least one mobile application while the mobile device is currently executing the at least one mobile application.

13 . The mobile device of claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise:
updating the at least one mobile application to incorporate the data associated with the at least one mobile application.

14 . The mobile device of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:
receiving, from the server, an alert that data associated with the first mobile application is available while the mobile device is not currently executing the first mobile application.

15 . The mobile device of claim 14 , wherein the alert is delivered by a push notification service of a vendor of the mobile device.

16 . The mobile device of claim 14 , wherein the alert includes alarm information.

17 . A non-transitory, machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a mobile device including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
sending a request to a server, the request requesting permission to access, based on an account of a user of the mobile device, at least one mobile application of a plurality of mobile applications embedded into a single bundled application, wherein the single bundled application, including the plurality of mobile applications embedded therein, is resident on the mobile device; retrieving locally stored permissions data on the mobile device, wherein the locally stored permissions data provide access to a first subset of the plurality of mobile applications embedded into the single bundled application; accessing at least one mobile application of the first subset of the plurality of mobile applications based on the locally stored permissions data; receiving, from the server, additional permissions data indicating availability of a first mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications, the first mobile application not included in the first subset, wherein the additional permissions data is associated with the account; and updating the locally stored permissions data to include the first mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications.

18 . The non-transitory, machine-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the additional permissions data indicates the availability of the first mobile application based at least in part on a location of the mobile device.

19 . The non-transitory, machine-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the additional permissions data indicates the availability of the first mobile application based at least in part on a condition of a mobile network in communication with the mobile device.
