Boxing bag mount

Abstract

A boxing bag mount includes an attachment plate for attaching the boxing bag thereto. The attachment plate includes a central post extending upwardly from a central point thereof. The central post includes an attachment formation for mounting the boxing bag mount to the structure, such as an attachment point for a chain, link or similar. The boxing bag mount additionally includes a pivot mounted to the central post in a rotatable manner. The pivot includes socket formations extending in opposing lateral directions thereof. The boxing bag mount additionally includes feature arms which are attachable to the socket formations in a removable manner. In the example shown, one arm has a feature which is a padded hit pad and another arm has a feature which is a padded extended duck bar.

1 . A boxing bag mount, comprising:
 a central post having an attachment formation for mounting to a structure,   a mounting means extending downwardly from the central post, the mounting means adapted for attaching a boxing bag thereto,   a pivot bar mounted to the central post in a rotatable manner, and   at least one feature arm extending from the pivot bar, the feature arm having a boxing feature at a distal end thereof,   wherein the feature arm is shaped such that the boxing feature is disposed to be adjacent to the boxing bag.   
     
     
         2 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 1 , wherein the mounting means is comprised of an attachment plate which is horizontal in use, the attachment plate comprising a peripheral ring to which upper support chains of the boxing bag can be looped around. 
     
     
         3 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 1 , wherein the mounting means is comprised of an attachment ring. 
     
     
         4 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 2 , wherein the pivot bar comprises two socket formations extending in opposing lateral directions thereof for removable attachment of two feature arms thereto. 
     
     
         5 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 4 , wherein the socket formations extend parallel to the attachment plate in use. 
     
     
         6 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 4 , wherein each feature arm comprises a first portion which extends outwardly from the respective socket formation, a second portion which extends downwardly from the first portion, and a third portion extending outwardly from the second portion and which holds the boxing feature for the arm. 
     
     
         7 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 1 , wherein the boxing feature is to be at a height aligned with an upper portion of the boxing bag. 
     
     
         8 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 6 , wherein the second portion is of adjustable length so the boxing features can be positioned along the bag as desired. 
     
     
         9 . The boxing bag mount of  claim 6 , wherein the third portion is adjustable in orientation so that the direction or orientation of the boxing features can be varied as desired. 
     
     
         10 . An assembly, comprising:
 a boxing bag mount of  claim 2 ; and   a boxing bag having support chains spaced about its upper periphery which are attached to the attachment plate such that the attachment plate moves with the boxing bag.
