Refrigerator

Abstract

The present invention relates to a refrigerator and, in particular, to a refrigerator comprising: a main body comprising an outer case, and an inner case provided in the outer case and providing an ice-making compartment and a refrigeration compartment on the upper side thereof and a freezer compartment on the lower side thereof; and an evaporator case provided between the outer case and the inner case, wherein the evaporator case has provided therein an installation space with a rear opening and in communication with the ice-making compartment, the evaporator case has a fan accommodation part on one side thereof and an evaporator on the other side thereof, and a fan assembly for circulating cold air supplied from the evaporator is provided in the fan accommodation part. Since both the fan assembly and the evaporator can be installed in the evaporator case which enables the evaporator to be installed from the outside in the rear of the main body, respective parts can be arranged in a compact manner.

1 . A refrigerator comprising:
 a main body including an outer case and an inner case provided inside the outer case, wherein an upper part of the inner case provides an ice making compartment and a refrigerator compartment, and a lower part of the inner case provides a freezer compartment; and   an evaporator case provided between the outer case and the inner case,   wherein an installation space with an open rear surface is formed inside the evaporator case and communicates with the ice making compartment,   wherein a fan accommodating portion is formed on one side of the evaporator case, and an evaporator is formed on other side of the evaporator case, and   wherein a fan assembly is installed in the fan accommodating portion and circulates a cold air provided by the evaporator.   
     
     
         2 . The refrigerator of  claim 1 , wherein a cold air discharge port is formed in a front upper portion of the evaporator case and discharges the cold air provided by the evaporator to the ice making compartment, and
 wherein a cold air intake port is formed in a lower surface inside the fan accommodating portion and sucks the cold air of the ice making compartment to the installation space.   
     
     
         3 . The refrigerator of  claim 2 , wherein the cold air intake port communicates with a cold air exhaust passage of the fan assembly. 
     
     
         4 . The refrigerator of  claim 1 , wherein the evaporator case is mounted on a mounting portion recessed inward from the inner case. 
     
     
         5 . The refrigerator of  claim 1 , wherein an opening is formed in a rear wall of the outer case,
 wherein the evaporator is coupled to the evaporator case through the opening, and   wherein the opening is closed and opened by a thermal insulation cover.
