Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 27 . (canceled)
28 . A support apparatus movable between a chair configuration and a bed configuration, the support apparatus comprising:
an articulating seat assembly including
a seat section, and
a back section rotatable relative to the seat section and configured to support a subject's back while the subject sits on the seat section;
a pair of padded side sections configured to be removably coupled at opposite sides of the articulating seat assembly such that upper surfaces of the padded side sections are generally flush with a support surface of the articulating seat assembly when the support apparatus is in the bed configuration; a first leg assembly rotatable relative to the articulating seat assembly; and a second leg assembly rotatable relative to the articulating seat assembly.
29 . The support apparatus of claim 28 , wherein at least one of the pair of padded side sections is slidably coupled to the articulating seat assembly.
30 . The support apparatus of claim 28 , wherein at least one of the pair of padded side sections is manually lockable to the articulating seat assembly.
31 . The support apparatus of claim 28 , wherein at least one of the pair of padded side sections is positioned rearwardly of the first and second leg assemblies when the support apparatus is in the chair configuration.
32 . The support apparatus of claim 28 , wherein the articulating seat assembly includes mounting rails configured to couple to mounting assemblies of the the padded side sections.
33 . The support apparatus of claim 28 , wherein the pair of padded side sections are positioned so support arms of the subject when the subject lays on the support apparatus in the bed configuration.
34 . The support apparatus of claim 28 , further comprising a shaft coupled to one of the pair of padded side sections, wherein the shaft is configured to be positioned under the seat section when the one of the pair of padded side sections is coupled to the articulating seat assembly.
35 . A support apparatus movable between a chair configuration and a bed configuration, the support apparatus comprising:
a seat assembly including
a seat section having a side indentation, and
a back section configured to support a subject's back when the subject sits on the seat section, wherein the back section is movable relative to the seat section to move the support apparatus between the chair configuration and the bed configuration;
a padded support removably couplable to the seat assembly such that the padded support is positioned in the side indentation in the seat assembly to support the subject's body when the subject lays flat on the support apparatus in the bed configuration, wherein the padded support is configured to move away from the side indentation to move the support apparatus to the chair configuration; and a leg assembly rotatably coupled to the seat assembly.
36 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the padded support is configured to extend along most of a length of the seat section when the padded support is adjacent to a lateral side of the seat section.
37 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the padded support is slidably couplable to the seat assembly via a shaft coupled to the padded support.
38 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the padded support is manually lockable to the seat assembly.
39 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the padded support is positioned rearwardly of the leg assembly when the support apparatus is in the bed configuration.
40 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein a forward end of the padded support is substantially flush with a forward end of the seat section when the support apparatus is in the bed configuration.
41 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the seat assembly is movable between a chair position and a bed position when the padded support is mated with the side indentation.
42 . The support apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the padded support is configured to fill the indentation in the seat section.Cited by (0)
