Management Method and Apparatus
Abstract
A management method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a second management unit, affinity information, where the affinity information is used to configure affinity and/or anti-affinity between a target object and another object, or is used to configure affinity and/or anti-affinity between a child object of the target object and another object; sending, by the second management unit, a management request of the target object to a first management unit, where the management request carries the affinity information; and managing, by the first management unit, the target object according to the affinity information, after receiving the management request that is of the target object and that is sent by the second management unit. In embodiments of the present invention, effective management of a network service unit or a virtualized network function unit can be implemented.

receiving, by a network functions virtualization orchestrator device, from at least one of an operations support system or business support system, a management request of a network service, wherein the management request comprises affinity information, and wherein the affinity information is associated with configuring at least one of an affinity between a virtualized network function instance of the network service and an existing virtualized network function instance or an anti-affinity between the virtualized network function instance of the network service and the existing virtualized network function instance; and managing, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, the network service according to the affinity information.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the affinity information is at least one of:
indication information that indicates, to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, to ignore a first affinity rule related to the network service during managing management of the network service, or a second affinity rule that comprises rule indication information, an affinity object identifier, and scope indication information.
3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the rule indication information indicates that the second affinity rule is one of an affinity rule or an anti-affinity rule; and
wherein the affinity object identifier identifies an action object of the second affinity rule, and wherein the affinity object identifier comprises an identifier of the existing virtualized network function instance and an identifier of a virtualized network function descriptor; and wherein the virtualized network function descriptor is associated with instantiating the virtualized network function instance of the network service.
4 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the scope indication information indicates an applicable scope of the second affinity rule.
5 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the managing, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, the network service according to the affinity information comprises:
determining, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the affinity information, a third affinity rule corresponding to management requirement information for managing the network service; deploying, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the third affinity rule, the network service; determining, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the third affinity rule, a fourth affinity rule corresponding to a virtual resource for deploying the network service; and configuring, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the fourth affinity rule, the virtual resource for deploying the network service.
6 . A management method, comprising:
obtaining, by at least one of an operations support system or a business support system, affinity information, wherein the affinity information is associated with configuring at least one of an affinity between a virtualized network function instance of a network service and an existing virtualized network function instance or an anti-affinity between the virtualized network function instance of the network service and the existing virtualized network function instance; and sending, by the at least one of the operations support system or the business support system, a management request of the network service to a network functions virtualization orchestrator device, wherein the management request comprises the affinity information.
7 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein the affinity information is at least one of:
indication information that indicates, to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device to ignore a first affinity rule related to the network service during managing management of the network service, or a second affinity rule that comprises rule indication information, an affinity object identifier, and scope indication information.
8 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein the rule indication information indicates that the second affinity rule is one of an affinity rule or an anti-affinity rule; and
wherein the affinity object identifier identifies an action object of the second affinity rule, and wherein the affinity object identifier comprises an identifier of the existing virtualized network function instance and an identifier of a virtualized network function descriptor; and wherein the virtualized network function descriptor is associated with instantiating the virtualized network function instance of the network service.
9 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein the scope indication information indicates an applicable scope of the second affinity rule.
10 . A network functions virtualization orchestrator device, comprising:
at least one processor; and a non-transitory memory, wherein the memory is configured to store storing a program for execution by the at least one processor, and wherein the program, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the network functions virtualization orchestrator device the program including instructions to:
receive, from at least one of an operations support system or a business support system, a management request of a network service, wherein the management request comprises affinity information, and wherein the affinity information is associated with configuring at least one of an affinity between a virtualized network function instance of the network service and an existing virtualized network function instance or an anti-affinity between the virtualized network function instance of the network service and the existing virtualized network function instance; and
manage the network service according to the affinity information.
11 . The network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to claim 10 , wherein the affinity information is at least one of:
indication information that indicates to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device to ignore a first affinity rule related to the network service during managing management of the network service, or a second affinity rule that comprises rule indication information, an affinity object identifier, and scope indication information.
12 . The network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to claim 11 , wherein the rule indication information indicates that the second affinity rule is an affinity rule or an anti-affinity rule; and
wherein the affinity object identifier identifies an action object of the second affinity rule, and wherein the affinity object identifier comprises an identifier of the existing virtualized network function instance and an identifier of a virtualized network function descriptor; and wherein the virtualized network function descriptor is associated with instantiating the virtualized network function instance of the network service.
13 . The first management network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to claim 11 , wherein the scope indication information indicates an applicable scope of the second affinity rule.
14 . An operations support system or business support system, comprising:
at least one processor; and a non-transitory memory, wherein the memory is configured to store storing a program for execution, and wherein the program, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the operations support system or business support system the program including instructions to: obtain affinity information, wherein the affinity information is associated with configuring at least one of an affinity between a virtualized network function instance of a network service and an existing virtualized network function instance or an anti-affinity between the virtualized network function instance of the network service and the existing virtualized network function instance; and send a management request of the network service to a network functions virtualization orchestrator device, wherein the management request comprises the affinity information.
15 . The second management device operations support system or business support system according to claim 14 , wherein the affinity information is at least one of:
indication information that indicates, to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, to ignore a first affinity rule related to the network service during managing management of the network service; or a second affinity rule that comprises rule indication information, an affinity object identifier, and scope indication information.
16 . The second management device operations support system or business support system according to claim 15 , wherein the rule indication information indicates that the second affinity rule is one of an affinity rule or an anti-affinity rule;
wherein the affinity object identifier identifies an action object of the second affinity rule, and wherein the affinity object identifier comprises an identifier of the existing virtualized network function instance and an identifier of a virtualized network function descriptor; and wherein the virtualized network function descriptor is associated with instantiating the virtualized network function instance of the network service.
17 . A communications system, comprising:
a network functions virtualization orchestrator device; and at least one of an operations support system or a business support system, wherein the at least one of the operations support system or the business support system comprises: at least one first processor; and a first non-transitory memory, wherein the first memory is configured to store storing a first program, and wherein the first program, when executed for execution by the at least one first processor, causes the operations support system or business support system the first program including first instructions to:
obtain affinity information, wherein the affinity information is associated with configuring at least one of an affinity between a virtualized network function instance of a network service and an existing virtualized network function instance or an anti-affinity between the virtualized network function instance of the network service and the existing virtualized network function instance; and
send a management request of the network service to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, wherein the management request comprises the affinity information; and
wherein the network functions virtualization orchestrator device comprises:
at least one second processor; and
a second non-transitory memory, wherein the second memory is configured to store storing a second program, and wherein the second program, when executed by for execution by the at least one second processor, causes the network functions virtualization orchestrator device the second program including second instructions to:
receive the management request of the network service from the at least one of the operations support system or the business support system; and
manage the network service according to the affinity information.
18 . The communications system according to claim 17 , wherein the affinity information is at least one of:
indication information that indicates to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device to ignore a first affinity rule related to the network service during managing management of the network service, or a second affinity rule that comprises rule indication information, an affinity object identifier, and scope indication information.
19 . The communications system according to claim 18 , wherein the rule indication information indicates that the second affinity rule is one of an affinity rule or an anti-affinity rule;
wherein the affinity object identifier identifies an action object of the second affinity rule, and wherein the affinity object identifier comprises an identifier of the existing virtualized network function instance and an identifier of a virtualized network function descriptor; and wherein the virtualized network function descriptor is associated with instantiating the virtualized network function instance of the network service.
20 . The communications system according to claim 18 , wherein the scope indication information indicates an applicable scope of the second affinity rule.
21 . A management method, comprising:
obtaining, by at least one of an operations support system or a business support system, affinity information, wherein the affinity information is associated with configuring at least one of an affinity between a virtualized network function instance of a network service and an existing virtualized network function instance or an anti-affinity between the virtualized network function instance of the network service and the existing virtualized network function instance; and sending, by the at least one of the operations support system or the business support system, a management request of the network service to a network functions virtualization orchestrator device, wherein the management request comprises the affinity information; receiving, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, from the at least one of an operations support system or business support system, the management request; and managing, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, the network service according to the affinity information.
22 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein the affinity information is at least one of:
indication information that indicates, to the network functions virtualization orchestrator device, to ignore a first affinity rule related to the network service during management of the network service, or a second affinity rule that comprises rule indication information, an affinity object identifier, and scope indication information.
23 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the rule indication information indicates that the second affinity rule is one of an affinity rule or an anti-affinity rule; and
wherein the affinity object identifier identifies an action object of the second affinity rule, and wherein the affinity object identifier comprises an identifier of the existing virtualized network function instance and an identifier of a virtualized network function descriptor; and wherein the virtualized network function descriptor is associated with instantiating the virtualized network function instance of the network service.
24 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the scope indication information indicates an applicable scope of the second affinity rule.
25 . The method according to claim 22 , wherein the managing the network service comprises:
determining, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the affinity information, a third affinity rule corresponding to management requirement information for managing the network service; deploying, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the third affinity rule, the network service; determining, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the third affinity rule, a fourth affinity rule corresponding to a virtual resource for deploying the network service; and configuring, by the network functions virtualization orchestrator device according to the fourth affinity rule, the virtual resource for deploying the network service.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
