Abstract
A sanitary face mask assembly includes a face mask that can be worn in an adjustable manner on a user's face. The face mask is comprised of a bacterial filtering material to inhibit the airborne transmission of infectious diseases. A pair of straps is each coupled to the face mask such that each of the straps forms a closed loop with the face mask. Additionally, each of the straps is positioned on opposite sides of the face mask with respect to each other. A band is coupled between each of the straps thereby facilitating the band to extend around the back of the user's head or neck when the face mask is worn to retain the face mask on the user's face.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A sanitary face mask assembly having a strap which extends around a user's head rather than around the user's ears, said assembly comprising:
a face mask being configured to be worn on a user's face, said face mask being comprised of an air permeable material wherein said face mask is configured to facilitate the user to breathe through said face mask, said face mask being comprised of a bacterial filtering material wherein said face mask is configured to inhibit the airborne transmission of infectious diseases; a pair of straps, each of said straps being coupled to said face mask such that each of said straps forms a closed loop with said face mask, each of said straps being positioned on opposite sides of said face mask with respect to each other; and a band being coupled between each of said straps wherein said band is configured to extend around the back of the user's head or neck when said face mask is worn for retaining said face mask on the user's face.
2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said face mask has a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; and each of said straps has a first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of each of said straps being coupled to a respective one of said first lateral edge and said second lateral edge of said face mask.
3 . A sanitary face mask assembly having a strap which extends around a user's head rather than around the user's ears, said assembly comprising:
a face mask being configured to be worn on a user's face, said face mask being comprised of an air permeable material wherein said face mask is configured to facilitate the user to breathe through said face mask, said face mask being comprised of a bacterial filtering material wherein said face mask is configured to inhibit the airborne transmission of infectious diseases, said face mask having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a pair of straps, each of said straps being coupled to said face mask such that each of said straps forms a closed loop with said face mask, each of said straps being positioned on opposite sides of said face mask with respect to each other, each of said straps having a first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of each of said straps being coupled to a respective one of said first lateral edge and said second lateral edge of said face mask; and a band being coupled between each of said straps wherein said band is configured to extend around the back of the user's head or neck when said face mask is worn for retaining said face mask on the user's face.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said band has a primary end, a secondary end and a first surface, said band being wrapped around each of said straps having said primary end and said secondary end being fastened to said first surface thereby securing said band to each of said straps.
5 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said face mask has a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; each of said straps has a first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of each of said straps being coupled to a respective one of said first lateral edge and said second lateral edge of said face mask; and said band has a primary end, a secondary end and a first surface, said band being wrapped around each of said straps having said primary end and said secondary end being fastened to said first surface thereby securing said band to each of said straps.
6 . The assembly according to claim 5 , further comprising a coupler being coupled to said primary end of said band, said primary end being uncoupled from either of said straps, said coupler having a slot therein for insertably receiving a respective one of said straps thereby facilitating said band to be coupled or uncoupled said respective strap.
7 . A method of improving the fit of a face mask being worn on a user's face, the steps of the method comprising:
providing a face mask having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; providing a pair of straps, each of said straps being coupled to a respective one of said first lateral edge and said second lateral edge; providing a band having looped ends which snuggly encircle each of said straps; positioning said face mask on a user's face; and positioning said band around the back of the user's head or neck to retain said face mask on the user's face.Cited by (0)
