 the second cushioning layer being formed from high-density core foam;
 the third cushioning layer being formed from foam; and
 wherein the top surface of the first cushioning layer forms the first surface of the main body and the bottom surface of the third cushioning layer forms the second surface of the main body;
   a topper that is selectively coupled with the first surface of the main body or the second surface of the main body, the topper extending approximately the length and width of the main body; and wherein the cover is sized and configured to receive the main body and topper.

         2 . The adjustable mattress as recited in claim 1 wherein the first cushioning layer is approximately 2.5 inches thick.

         3 . The adjustable mattress as recited in claim 1 wherein the second cushioning layer is approximately 6.5 inches thick.

         4 . The adjustable mattress as recited in claim 1 wherein the third cushioning layer is approximately 1.0 inches thick.

         5 . The adjustable mattress as recited in claim 1 wherein the topper is approximately 1.0 inches thick.

         6 . An adjustable mattress comprising:
 a cover; a main body comprising:
 a first cushioning layer, a second cushioning layer, and a third cushioning layer;
 the first cushioning layer being attached to the second cushioning layer and the third cushioning layer being attached to the second cushioning layer, each of the first, second and third cushioning layers extending approximately the length and width of the main body;
 the first cushioning layer being formed from foam;
 the second cushioning layer being formed from high-density core foam;
 the third cushioning layer being formed from foam; and
 wherein the top surface of the first cushioning layer forms the first surface of the main body and the bottom surface of the third cushioning layer forms the second surface of the main body;
   a topper extending approximately the length and width of the main body; and wherein the cover is sized and configured to receive the main body and topper in any one of a plurality of configurations including:
 a first configuration defined by the main body being oriented such that the second surface is at the top of the main body and the topper is coupled with the first surface of the main body;
 a second configuration defined by the main body being oriented such that the second surface is at the top of the main body and the topper is coupled with the second surface of the main body;
 a third configuration defined by the main body being oriented such that the first surface is at the top of the main body and the topper is coupled with the second surface of the main body; and
 a fourth configuration defined by the main body being oriented such that the second surface is at the top of the main body and the topper is coupled with the second surface of the main body.

         7 . The adjustable mattress as recited in claim 6 wherein the first cushioning layer is approximately 2.5 inches thick.

         8 . The adjustable mattress as recited in claim 6 wherein the second cushioning layer is approximately 6.5 inches thick.
