Skin Marker Exposing Garment

Abstract

Disclosed herein is a garment for exposing skin markers on a patient receiving a medical procedure using a medical device, which requires alignment to those skin markers. The skin markers are exposed through windows in the garment, which are aligned with locations on a human body where skin markers are typically placed. The windows may be open areas on the garments without any material, or comprise a sheer mesh or transparent material, or other see-through material, or the like. The remainder of the garment is attractive and fashionable and conceals private areas on a patient. Some embodiments are underwear, while other embodiments, such as pants or yoga pants, can be worn as regular clothing. Additionally, some versions provide protection from incontinence by using absorbent material, and may be reusable or disposable.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A garment for exposing skin markers on a patient receiving a medical procedure using a medical device, said skin markers comprising:
 one or more alignment marks on the skin of said patient receiving said medical procedure;   said medical procedure comprising:
 measuring marker positions of said skin markers on said skin of said patient using said medical device, 
 determining the treatment position of a treatment area of said patient relative to said marker positions of said skin markers, 
 aligning said medical device with said treatment position of said treatment area of said patient based on said marker positions of said skin markers on said patient, and 
 treating said treatment area of said patient with said medical device; 
   said garment comprising:
 a skintight fitting on said patient, said patient having private areas, 
 exposed regions that expose said skin markers on said patient for measurement by said medical device, and 
 covered regions that cover said private areas of said patient; 
   wherein said skin markers are exposed in said exposed regions for measurement by said medical device during said medical procedure while said private areas of said patient are covered when said patient is wearing said garment.   
     
     
         2 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said skin markers comprise a tattoo. 
     
     
         3 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said skin markers comprise implants. 
     
     
         4 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said skin markers are temporary. 
     
     
         5 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said exposed regions comprises an opening. 
     
     
         6 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said exposed regions comprises a transparent window. 
     
     
         7 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said exposed regions comprises a semitransparent window. 
     
     
         8 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said exposed regions comprises a translucent material. 
     
     
         9 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said exposed regions comprises a sheer mesh. 
     
     
         10 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said treatment of said medical procedure comprises radiation therapy. 
     
     
         11 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said treatment of said medical procedure comprises proton therapy. 
     
     
         12 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises briefs. 
     
     
         13 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises shorts. 
     
     
         14 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises a bra. 
     
     
         15 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises pants. 
     
     
         16 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises yoga pants. 
     
     
         17 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises tights. 
     
     
         18 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises an absorbent material for incontinence. 
     
     
         19 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment is disposable. 
     
     
         20 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said garment further comprises a marker border around said exposed regions, said marker border comprising:
 a seam around said exposed regions, said seam being disposed between said exposed regions and said private areas;   wherein said marker border facilitates said measuring of said marker positions of said skin markers on said skin of said patient using said medical device.   
     
     
         21 . A garment of  claim 1 , wherein said exposed regions of said garment further comprise a size, said size encompassing a range of locations of said skin markers on said patient.
