Symbol mapping method for repetition channel coding
Abstract
Repetition coding is performed on control channel information to generate a plurality of encoded control channel signals, which are then transmitted using time-frequency resource-element groups. The time-frequency resource-element groups include orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in a time domain and frequency subcarriers in a frequency domain. The plurality of encoded control channel signals are transmitted separately from each other in the frequency domain when one of the OFDM symbols is used for transmitting the plurality of encoded control channel signals. At least two of the plurality of encoded control channel signals are transmitted using one or more resource-element groups and the at least two of the plurality of encoded control channel signals are transmitted separately from each other in the frequency domain when two of the OFDM symbols are used for transmitting.
