Abstract
A method of managing an online support group to increase the odds that users will attain their wellness goals is disclosed. A request from a user to join a support group is received. A preference of the user with respect to a type of the support group is received. The support group is selected from a plurality of support groups based on the preference of the user and a preference of a member of the support group. Based on an acceptance by the user of an option to join the support group, the plurality of support groups is reorganized.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A system comprising:
one or more computer processors; one or more computer memories; a set of instructions stored in the one or more computer memories, the set of instructions configuring the one or more computer processors to perform operations, the operations comprising: determining a goal of a user of a networked system; selecting a sub-goal corresponding to the goal based on one or more selection criteria, the selection criteria including a consistency of the user in achieving the sub-goal in the past; selecting a cadence for the sub-goal, the selecting of the cadence based on a frequency of a stimulus in an environment of the user; and adjusting the cadence based on a contribution of a margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal to a margin of success of the user in accomplishing the goal.
3 . The system of claim 2 , the operations further selecting a challenge level based on a determination of a speed of habit formation associated with the challenge level.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the selecting of the cadence is further based on a determination of a speed of habit formation associated with the cadence.
5 . The system of claim 2 , the operations further comprising providing an intrinsic reward based on the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the intrinsic reward is a presentation of a number of structured interactions received from a group of other users to which the sub-goal of the user has been exposed.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the presentation of the number of structured interactions is presented in a user interface in conjunction with a visual representation of the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal.
8 . The system of claim 2 , where the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the goal is based on a number of points earned by the user with respect to the sub-goal.
9 . A method comprising:
determining a goal of a user of a networked system; selecting a sub-goal corresponding to the goal based on one or more selection criteria, the selection criteria including a consistency of the user in achieving the sub-goal in the past; selecting a cadence for the sub-goal, the selecting of the cadence based on a frequency of a stimulus in an environment of the user; and adjusting the cadence based on a contribution of a margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal to a margin of success of the user in accomplishing the goal.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further selecting a challenge level based on a determination of a speed of habit formation associated with the challenge level.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the selecting of the cadence is further based on a determination of a speed of habit formation associated with the cadence.
12 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising providing an intrinsic reward based on the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the intrinsic reward is a presentation of a number of structured interactions received from a group of other users to which the sub-goal of the user has been exposed.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the presentation of the number of structured interactions is presented in a user interface in conjunction with a visual representation of the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal.
15 . The method of claim 14 , where the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the goal is based on a number of points earned by the user with respect to the sub-goal.
16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of instructions that, when executed by one or more computer processors, causes the one or more computer processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:
determining a goal of a user of a networked system; selecting a sub-goal corresponding to the goal based on one or more selection criteria, the selection criteria including a consistency of the user in achieving the sub-goal in the past; selecting a cadence for the sub-goal, the selecting of the cadence based on a frequency of a stimulus in an environment of the user; and adjusting the cadence based on a contribution of a margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal to a margin of success of the user in accomplishing the goal.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , the operations further selecting a challenge level based on a determination of a speed of habit formation associated with the challenge level.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the selecting of the cadence is further based on a determination of a speed of habit formation associated with the cadence.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , the operations further comprising providing an intrinsic reward based on the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the intrinsic reward is a presentation of a number of structured interactions received from a group of other users to which the sub-goal of the user has been exposed.
21 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 20 , wherein the presentation of the number of structured interactions is presented in a user interface in conjunction with a visual representation of the margin of success of the user in accomplishing the sub-goal.Cited by (0)
