Real-time scalable virtual session and network analytics
Abstract
Provided herein are systems and methods for providing insights or metrics in connection with provisioning applications and/or desktop sessions to end-users. Network devices (e.g., appliances, intermediary devices, gateways, proxy devices or middle-boxes) can gather insights such as network-level statistics. Additional insights (e.g., metadata and metrics) associated with virtual applications and virtual desktops can be gathered to provide administrators with comprehensive end-to-end real-time and/or historical reports of performance and end-user experience (UX) insights. Insights relating to an application or desktop session can be used to determine and/or improve the overall health of the infrastructure of the session, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, the applications (e.g., remote desktop application) being delivered using the infrastructure, and/or the corresponding user experience.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method comprising:
establishing between a first device and a second device a plurality of data streams, each data stream of the plurality of data streams having a virtual channel; identifying, by the first device, an identifier and a priority for each data stream; and communicating, by the first device, the identifier and the priority for each data stream via the virtual channel to be accessed at least by the second device.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating the plurality of data streams by one of the first device or the second device via a single port to one of a client or a server.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of data streams are established for a session established between a client and server, wherein network traffic of the session traversing the first device and the second device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising changing the priority of a first data stream of the plurality of data steams based at least on a change in the priority of the virtual channel and communicating the changed priority
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the first device, the priority for each data stream to define a level of quality of service among the plurality of data streams to be communicated between the first device and the second device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the first device, a type of data of each data stream and classifying a type of each data streams based on the type of data.
7 . The method of claim 6 , further comprise determining, by the first device, the priority for each data stream based on one of the type of each data stream or the type of data.
8 . A system comprising:
a first device in communication with a second device, the first device configured to: establish a plurality of data streams between the first device and the second device, each data stream of the plurality of data streams having a virtual channel; identify an identifier and a priority for each data stream; and communicate the identifier and the priority for each data stream via the virtual channel to be accessed at least by the second device.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of data streams is communicated by one of the first device or the second device via a single port to one of a client or a server.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of data streams are established for a session established between a client and server, wherein network traffic of the session traversing the first device and the second device.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the priority of a first data stream of the plurality of data steams is changed based at least on a change in the priority of the virtual channel and communicating the changed priority
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the first device is further configured to determine the priority for each data stream to define a level of quality of service among the plurality of data streams to be communicated between the first device and the second device.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the first device is further configured to determine a type of data of each data stream and classifying a type of each data streams based on the type of data.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the first device is further configured to determine the priority for each data stream based on one of the type of each data stream or the type of data.
15 . A device comprising:
one or more processors, coupled to memory, and having instructions executable thereon to cause the one or more processors to: establish a plurality of data streams with a second device, each data stream of the plurality of data streams having a virtual channel; identify an identifier and a priority for each data stream; and communicate the identifier and the priority for each data stream via the virtual channel to be accessed at least by the second device.
16 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of data streams is communicated by one of the device or the second device via a single port to one of a client or a server.
17 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of data streams are established for a session established between a client and server, wherein network traffic of the session traversing the device and the second device.
18 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the priority of a first data stream of the plurality of data steams is changed based at least on a change in the priority of the virtual channel and communicating the changed priority
19 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the device is further configured to determine the priority for each data stream to define a level of quality of service among the plurality of data streams to be communicated between the first device and the second device.
20 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the device is further configured to determine a type of data of each data stream, classify a type of each data streams based on the type of data and determine the priority for each data stream based on one of the type of each data stream or the type of data.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
