Abstract

When a mobile terminal obtains a container upon movement of a display range, a processor increases points in a storage unit. When the mobile terminal opens a container obtained by movement of the display range or as a present from another mobile terminal, the processor opens the container at predetermined success percentages, and writes an item obtained from the opened container in the storage unit. When the mobile terminal presents a container without opening it, the processor transmits screen data indicating a present to the other mobile terminal. The processor converts an item in the storage unit into points to increase the points in the storage unit based on an operation of the user of the mobile terminal.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

2 . A method for controlling a game executed by a plurality of mobile terminals, the game including a container, the method comprising:
causing, with circuitry, a first mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals to display a screen for receiving an instruction from a user of the first mobile terminal to gift the container to a user of a second mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals; and determining, with the circuitry, that users can acquire items from contents of opened containers based on a predetermined condition, wherein the item is not provided to a user of a mobile terminal when the predetermined condition is not satisfied.

3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the predetermined condition includes whether a number of items possessed by the user of the mobile terminal is below a predetermined limit.

4 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein when the item is not provided to the user of the mobile terminal, the item remains with the user of the first mobile terminal.

5 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein when the item is provided to the user of the mobile terminal, the method further includes determining whether the user of the mobile terminal retrieves the item, and
when the user of the mobile terminal retrieves the item, causing the mobile terminal to obtain points corresponding to the item retrieved.

6 . The method according to claim 5 , further comprising providing the mobile terminal with a screen to receive an indication from the user of the mobile terminal of retrieving the item.

7 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein when the user of the mobile terminal does not retrieve the item, the method further includes causing the mobile terminal to display a screen including an operation object to gift the item to a user of another of the plurality of mobile terminals.

8 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein the screen further includes an operation object to discard the item.

9 . The method according to claim 2 , further comprising providing the first mobile terminal with in-game currency in exchange for gifting the item to the user of the mobile terminal.

10 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the first mobile terminal receives in-game currency upon an increase in game level of the user of the first mobile terminal.

11 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the items include multiple types of items, and at least one of the multiple types of items has a maximum value.

12 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein a number of containers that may be gifted in a predetermined period of time is limited to a predetermined number.

13 . A server that controls a game executed by a plurality of mobile terminals, the game including a container, the server comprising:
circuitry configured to cause a first mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals to display a first screen for receiving an instruction from a user of the first mobile terminal to gift the container to a user of a second mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals; and determine that users can acquire items from contents of opened containers based on a predetermined condition, wherein the item is not provided to a user of a mobile terminal when the predetermined condition is not satisfied.

14 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium encoded with computer-readable instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to perform a method for controlling a game executed by a plurality of mobile terminals, the game including a container, the method comprising:
causing a first mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals to display a screen for receiving an instruction from a user of the first mobile terminal to gift the container to a user of a second mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals; and determining that users can acquire items from contents of opened containers based on a predetermined condition, wherein the item is not provided to a user of a mobile terminal when the predetermined condition is not satisfied.
