Abstract

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed related to policy declarations for cloud management system. An example apparatus includes memory, instructions, and processor circuitry to execute the instructions. The processor circuitry is to convert first network state data in a first format to a first data tuple in a unified format, the first network state data from a first cloud management application that manages a first aspect of a network and convert second network state data in a second format to a second data tuple in the unified format, the second network state data from a second cloud management application that manages a second aspect of the network, the first format different than the second format. Additionally, the processor circuitry is to determine a first relational table in a database based on a first network state update, the first network state update represented by the first data tuple and determine a second relational table in the database based on a second network state update, the second network state update represented by the second data tuple. The processor circuitry is also modify the first relational table using the first data tuple and modify the second relational table using the second data tuple.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus comprising:
 memory;   instructions; and   processor circuitry to execute the instructions to at least:
 convert first network state data in a first format to a first data tuple in a unified format, the first network state data from a first cloud management application that manages a first aspect of a network; 
 convert second network state data in a second format to a second data tuple in the unified format, the second network state data from a second cloud management application that manages a second aspect of the network, the first format different than the second format; 
 determine a first relational table in a database based on a first network state update, the first network state update represented by the first data tuple; 
 determine a second relational table in the database based on a second network state update, the second network state update represented by the second data tuple; 
 modify the first relational table using the first data tuple; and 
 modify the second relational table using the second data tuple. 
   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the first cloud management application includes one of a compute virtualization manager, a network virtualization manager, a storage virtualization manager, or an antivirus manager; and   the second cloud management application includes a different one of the compute virtualization manager, the network virtualization manager, the storage virtualization manager, or the antivirus manager.   
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the processor circuitry is to modify the first relational table using the first data tuple and the second data tuple. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first relational table and the second relational table represent a state of the network. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 4 , wherein at least one of the first network state data or the second network state data correspond to a proposed change to the network. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the instructions are first instructions, the apparatus further includes second instructions, and the processor circuitry is to:
 execute the first instructions to convert the first network state data in the first format to the first data tuple in the unified format; and   execute the second instructions to convert the second network state data in the second format to the second data tuple in the unified format.   
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 6 , wherein the first instructions correspond to the first cloud management application and the second instructions correspond to the second cloud management application. 
     
     
         8 . At least one storage device or storage disk comprising instructions that, when executed, cause processor circuitry to at least:
 convert first network state data in a first format to a first data tuple in a unified format, the first network state data from a first cloud management application that manages a first aspect of a network;   convert second network state data in a second format to a second data tuple in the unified format, the second network state data from a second cloud management application that manages a second aspect of the network, the first format different than the second format;   determine a first relational table in a database based on a first network state update, the first network state update represented by the first data tuple;   determine a second relational table in the database based on a second network state update, the second network state update represented by the second data tuple;   modify the first relational table using the first data tuple; and   modify the second relational table using the second data tuple.   
     
     
         9 . The at least one storage device or storage disk of  claim 8 , wherein:
 the first cloud management application includes one of a compute virtualization manager, a network virtualization manager, a storage virtualization manager, or an antivirus manager; and   the second cloud management application includes a different one of the compute virtualization manager, the network virtualization manager, the storage virtualization manager, or the antivirus manager.   
     
     
         10 . The at least one storage device or storage disk of  claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the processor circuitry to modify the first relational table using the first data tuple and the second data tuple. 
     
     
         11 . The at least one storage device or storage disk of  claim 8 , wherein the first relational table and the second relational table represent a state of the network. 
     
     
         12 . The at least one storage device or storage disk of  claim 11 , wherein at least one of the first network state data or the second network state data correspond to a proposed change to the network. 
     
     
         13 . The at least one storage device or storage disk of  claim 8 , wherein (1) the instructions are first instructions, (2) the first instructions, when executed, cause the processor circuitry to convert the first network state data in the first format to the first data tuple in the unified format, and (3) the at least one storage device or storage disk includes second instructions that, when executed, cause the processor circuitry to convert the second network state data in the second format to the second data tuple in the unified format. 
     
     
         14 . The at least one storage device or storage disk of  claim 13 , wherein the first instructions correspond to the first cloud management application and the second instructions correspond to the second cloud management application. 
     
     
         15 . A method comprising:
 converting, by executing a portion of software with processor circuitry, first network state data in a first format to a first data tuple in a unified format, the first network state data from a first cloud management application that manages a first aspect of a network;   converting, by executing a portion of the software with the processor circuitry, second network state data in a second format to a second data tuple in the unified format, the second network state data from a second cloud management application that manages a second aspect of the network, the first format different than the second format;   determining, by executing a portion of the software with the processor circuitry, a first relational table in a database based on a first network state update, the first network state update represented by the first data tuple;   determining, by executing a portion of the software with the processor circuitry, a second relational table in the database based on a second network state update, the second network state update represented by the second data tuple;   modifying, by executing a portion of the software with the processor circuitry, the first relational table using the first data tuple; and   modifying, by executing a portion of the software with the processor circuitry, the second relational table using the second data tuple.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein:
 the first cloud management application includes one of a compute virtualization manager, a network virtualization manager, a storage virtualization manager, or an antivirus manager; and   the second cloud management application includes a different one of the compute virtualization manager, the network virtualization manager, the storage virtualization manager, or the antivirus manager.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 15 , further including modifying the first relational table using the first data tuple and the second data tuple. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the first relational table and the second relational table represent a state of the network. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein at least one of the first network state data or the second network state data correspond to a proposed change to the network. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the software is first software, and the method further includes:
 converting, by executing a portion of the first software with the processor circuitry, the first network state data in the first format to the first data tuple in the unified format; and   converting, by executing a portion of second software with the processor circuitry, the second network state data in the second format to the second data tuple in the unified format.   
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 20 , wherein the first software corresponds to the first cloud management application and the second software corresponds to the second cloud management application.
