Abstract
This disclosure relates to a drug delivery system comprising an intraocular pressure lowering agent, a neurotrophic agent, such as a CNTF compound, a C-type Natriuretic Peptide (CNP) compound, a Tie-2 agonist, a Natriuretic Peptide Receptor-B (NPR-B) compound, or an apoptosis signaling fragment inhibitor (FAS) or FAS-ligand (FASL) inhibitor, including any combination of these compounds and a sustained delivery component. Methods of treating a glaucoma or related conditions, medicaments, kits, uses and methods of manufacturing are also described.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A drug delivery system comprising: 1) a prostaglandin, a CNTF compound, a FAS or FASL inhibitor, or a combination thereof, and 2) a sustained delivery component.
2 . The drug delivery system of claim 1 , comprising: 1) the prostaglandin, 2) the CNTF compound, the FAS or FASL inhibitor, or the combination thereof, and 3) the sustained delivery component.
3 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the CNTF compound is a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence DGGL (SEQ ID NO: 20) or a salt thereof.
4 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the prostaglandin is bimatoprost acid or a salt thereof.
5 . The drug delivery system of claim 4 , comprising the prostaglandin and the CNTF compound, wherein the CNTF compound is Peptide 6 or a salt thereof.
6 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the FAS or FASL inhibitor is MET4.
7 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the FAS or FASL inhibitor is MET5.
8 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the FAS or FASL inhibitor is MET6.
9 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the FAS or FASL inhibitor is MET7.
10 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the FAS or FASL inhibitor is MET8.
11 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the prostaglandin is not covalently bonded or covalently linked to the CNTF compound, the FAS or FASL inhibitor, or the combination thereof.
12 . The drug delivery system of claim 2 , wherein the prostaglandin is covalently bonded or covalently linked to the CNTF compound, the FAS or FASL inhibitor, or the combination thereof.
13 . The drug delivery system of claim 1 , wherein the prostaglandin, the CNTF compound, the FAS or FASL inhibitor, or the combination thereof is covalently bonded or linked to the sustained delivery component.Cited by (0)
