Sports training mat
Abstract
Described herein are devices and systems relating to sports training equipment, for example, for baseball. These devices and systems can comprise a mat with markers identifying a plurality of positions on the mat. In some embodiments, the system can comprise removably attachable footpads to identify ideal foot positions for an athletic performance. In some embodiments, the footpads comprise one or more pressure sensors. The system can comprise one or more position sensors on a ball, and one or more position sensors removably attachable to a hand-held sports instrument. In some embodiments, the system can comprise a memory, communicatively coupled to a processor and a camera, with executable instructions to implement a set-up component, a user recognition component, a practice component, and instructional component, and a play component.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system, comprising a memory, communicatively coupled to a processor and a camera, said memory having stored therein computer executable instructions configured to implement one or more components of the system, including: a play component configured to identify a user's one or more foot positions and compare said one or more foot positions with one or more corresponding recommended foot positions for each athletic performance.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said play component determines said user's one or more foot positions to be correct if said user's one or more foot positions are within a pre-determined distance from said corresponding recommended foot positions.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein said pre-determined distance is adjustable.
4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein said set-up component is configured to rank said user account with second and third user accounts based up each user's percentage.
5 . The system of claim 2 , wherein said play component is configured to track multiple athletic performances such that a percentage of said user's foot positions that are correct is determined.
6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a screen communicatively coupled to said memory, wherein said play component is further configured to display on said screen said one or more foot positions and said one or more recommended foot positions.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said play component is configured to track multiple athletic performances such that all of said user's one or more foot positions for each athletic performance are saved.
8 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a set-up component configured to create a user account for said user, wherein said comparison by said play component is added to said user account.
9 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising: a practice component configured to identify said user's one or more foot positions; and an instructional component configured to determine said recommended foot positions at least partially based upon said user's one or more foot positions.
10 . A system comprising a memory, communicatively coupled to a processor and a camera, said memory having stored therein computer executable instructions configured to implement one or more components of the system, including: a set-up component configured to create a user account for a user, said set-up component configured to identify correct placement of a mat relative to said camera; a user recognition component configured to identify the feet or shoes of said user; a practice component configured to identify said user's one or more foot positions; an instructional component configured to determine said recommended foot positions at least partially based upon said user's one or more foot positions; and a play component configured to identify a user's one or more foot positions and to compare said one or more foot positions with one or more corresponding recommended foot positions for each athletic performance.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein said memory is communicatively coupled to a screen.
12 . The system of claim 10 , wherein said play component determines said user's one or more foot positions to be correct if within a pre-determined distance from said corresponding recommended foot positions.
13 . The system of claim 10 , wherein said pre-determined distance is adjustable.
14 . The system of claim 10 , wherein said play component is configured to track multiple athletic performances such that a percentage of said user's foot positions that are correct is determined.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein said set-up component is configured to rank said user account with second and third user accounts based up each user's percentage.Cited by (0)
