Abstract
The invention is directed to compositions and methods for preparing dissolvable compositions. The dissolvable compositions include a plurality of dissolvable layers, where the dissolvable layers convey a message when associated with a solvent.

a first layer having a first dissolution rate; and an indicia layer having a second dissolution rate, wherein the first layer is disposed on a surface of the indicia layer, wherein the second dissolution rate is faster than the first dissolution rate, and wherein the dissolvable composition is in the form of a sheet.
2 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the first dissolution rate is from 20 seconds to 2 minutes.
3 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the second dissolution rate is from 20 seconds to 60 minutes.
4 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the dissolvable composition comprises an active ingredient.
5 . The composition of claim 4 , wherein the active is selected from the group consisting of: vitamins, minerals, proteins, probiotics, fibers, amino acids, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical ingredients, nutritional supplements, and combinations thereof.
6 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the dissolvable composition comprises a cannabis product.
7 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the first layer and the indicia layer further comprises a flavorant.
8 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the first layer and the indicia layer further comprises a colorant.
9 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the first layer and the indicia layer each comprises a colorant, and the colorant of the first layer imparts a different color than the colorant of the indicia layer.
10 . A method for preparing a dissolvable composition, comprising:
printing a first dissolvable layer having a first dissolution rate; printing a second dissolvable layer on the first dissolvable layer, wherein the second dissolvable layer comprises indicia and has a second dissolution rate, wherein the second dissolution rate is faster than the first dissolution rate, and wherein the dissolvable composition is in the form of a sheet.
11 . The composition of claim 10 , wherein the first dissolution rate is from 20 seconds to 2 minutes.
12 . The composition of claim 10 , wherein the second dissolution rate is from 20 seconds to 60 minutes.
13 . A dissolvable composition comprising:
a first layer having a first dissolution rate; and an indicia layer having a second dissolution rate, a first surface, and an opposing second surface, wherein the first layer is disposed on the first surface of the indicia layer, and a third layer having a third dissolution rate, disposed on the second surface of the indicia layer, wherein the second dissolution rate is faster than the first dissolution rate and the third dissolution rate is slower than the first dissolution rate, and wherein the dissolvable composition is in the form of a sheet.
14 . The composition of claim 13 , wherein the first dissolution rate is from 3-15 seconds.
15 . The composition of claim 13 , wherein the first dissolution rate is from 20 seconds to 2 minutes.
16 . The composition of claim 13 , wherein the dissolvable composition comprises an active ingredient.
17 . The composition of claim 16 , wherein the active is selected from the group consisting of: vitamins, minerals, proteins, probiotics, fibers, amino acids, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical ingredients, nutritional supplements, and combinations thereof.Cited by (0)
