Real-time language learning within a smart space
Abstract
Examples disclosed herein provide real-time language learning within a smart space. An example system includes a sensor; object detection software to identify a first object and a second object in an environment based on an output of the sensor; assign a first weight to the first object and a second weight to the second object; perform a comparison of the first weight and the second weight; and select the first object to be associated with a second language output based on the comparison; context determination software to determine a second language context based on the output of the sensor; linguistic analysis software to associate the first object with a second language based on the second language context; and prompt generation software to cause the second language output for the first object in the second language to be presented.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second language output includes a visual output.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second language output includes an audio output.
6 . The system of claim 1 , further including:
user detection software to identify a user in the environment based on the output of the sensor; and associate the user with a user profile, the context determination software to determine the second language context based on the user profile.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the output of the sensor includes image data.
8 . A system comprising:
memory; programmable circuitry; and machine readable instructions to cause the programmable circuitry to:
identify a user in an environment based on one or more of image data corresponding to an output of a first sensor in the environment or audio data corresponding to an output of a second sensor in the environment;
identify a first object and a second object in the environment;
assign a first weight to the first object and a second weight to the second object;
select the first object to be associated with a second language output based on the first weight relative to the second weight; and
cause the second language output to be presented in the environment.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to:
detect an interaction between the user and the first object based on the image data; and assign the first weight to the first object based on the interaction.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to cause a projection including a visual representation of the second language output to be presented proximate to the first object in the environment.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to:
retrieve a user profile for the user; and determine a second language for the user based on the user profile.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to:
detect a second language input from the user based on audio data generated after the presentation of the second language output; and modify the user profile based on the second language input.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the programmable circuitry is to:
identify the environment based on the image data; and determine the second language output for the first object based on the identification of the environment.
14 . A machine readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause programmable circuitry to at least:
identify a first object and a second object in an environment based on an output of a sensor in the environment; select the first object to be associated with a second language indicator based on a property of the first object and a property of the second object; and cause the second language indicator to be output for presentation.
15 . The machine readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the property of the first object includes a frequency of use of the first object by a user in the environment and the property of the second object includes a frequency of use of the second object by the user in the environment.
16 . The machine readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the output of the sensor corresponds to image data and the instructions cause the programmable circuitry to:
detect a face of a user in the image data; identify the user based on the face; and select a second language for the second language indicator based on the identification of the user.
17 . The machine readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the instructions cause the programmable circuitry to cause the second language indicator to be output as an audio output.
18 . The machine readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the audio output is a first audio output and the instructions cause the programmable circuitry to:
detect an audio input from a user, the audio input in a second language; and cause a second audio output to be presented in response to the audio input from the user, the second audio output in the second language.
19 . The machine readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the instructions cause the programmable circuitry to cause the second language indicator to be output as a visual output.
20 . The machine readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the instructions cause the programmable circuitry to cause the second language indicator to be displayed on a surface proximate to the first object.Cited by (0)
