Abstract

A vacuum cleaner is disclosed. The vacuum cleaner according to the present disclosure includes a main body and a suction nozzle. The suction nozzle includes a main housing and a driver. The driver includes a motor and a transmission. The motor is provided behind a rotating brush. The transmission transfers rotational motion of the motor to the rotating brush.

         11 . A vacuum cleaner comprising:
 a suction nozzle configured to suction dust from a floor; and   a main body configured to receive the dust,   wherein the suction nozzle comprises:
 a main housing that defines an inlet configured to provide the dust to the main body, 
 a rotating brush disposed in the main housing, and 
 a driver disposed in the main housing and configured to rotate the rotating brush, and 
   wherein the driver comprises:
 a motor spaced apart from the rotating brush and configured to generate rotational force, and 
 a transmission configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor to the rotating brush. 
   
     
     
         12 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 11 , wherein the driver further comprises a bracket coupled to the main housing,
 wherein the suction nozzle further comprises a lower housing coupled to the main housing, and   wherein the main housing, the lower housing, and the bracket together define an isolated space, the motor being coupled to the bracket and disposed within the isolated space.   
     
     
         13 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 11 , wherein the transmission comprises:
 a middle pulley;   a first belt spaced apart from the rotating brush and configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor to the middle pulley; and   a second belt configured to transfer rotational force of the middle pulley to the rotating brush.   
     
     
         14 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 13 , wherein the middle pulley comprises a first middle pulley and a second middle pulley, the second middle pulley being configured to rotate together with the first middle pulley,
 wherein the transmission further comprises a driving pulley coupled to a shaft of the motor, and   wherein the first belt is wound around the driving pulley and the first middle pulley.   
     
     
         15 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 14 , wherein the driver further comprises a bracket coupled to the main housing,
 wherein the transmission further comprises a driven pulley rotatably mounted to the bracket, and   wherein the second belt is spaced apart from the rotating brush and wound around the driven pulley and the second middle pulley.   
     
     
         16 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 15 , wherein the transmission further comprises a first shaft member coupled to a shaft of the driven pulley and configured to transfer rotational force of the driven pulley to the rotating brush. 
     
     
         17 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 16 , wherein the rotating brush comprises:
 a brush body having a cylindrical shape, the brush body defining an opening at a side thereof;   a brush member attached to an outer circumferential surface of the brush body and configured to contact the floor; and   a second shaft member disposed in the opening of the brush body and configured to engage with the first shaft member.   
     
     
         18 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 17 , wherein the brush member comprises a plurality of bristles. 
     
     
         19 . A vacuum cleaner comprising:
 a suction nozzle configured to suction dust from a floor; and   a main body configured to receive the dust,   wherein the suction nozzle comprises:
 a housing that defines an inlet configured to provide the dust to the main body, 
 a rotating brush rotatably disposed at a front portion of the housing relative to the inlet, and 
 a driver configured to rotate the rotating brush, and 
   wherein the driver comprises:
 a bracket coupled to the housing, 
 a motor coupled to the bracket and disposed rearward relative to the rotating brush, the motor comprising a motor shaft that extends parallel to a rotational axis of the rotating brush, and 
 a transmission configured to transfer rotational force of the motor to the rotating brush. 
   
     
     
         20 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 19 , wherein the housing and the bracket define an isolated space that is isolated from an outside of the suction nozzle and accommodates the motor therein. 
     
     
         21 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 19 , wherein the transmission comprises a plurality of belts configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor to the rotating brush. 
     
     
         22 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 21 , wherein the transmission further comprises:
 a driving pulley coupled to the motor shaft;   a driven pulley rotatably mounted to the bracket and disposed forward relative to the driving pulley; and   a middle pulley disposed between the driving pulley and the driven pulley, and   wherein the plurality of belts are configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor from the driving pulley to the driven pulley through the middle pulley.   
     
     
         23 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 22 , wherein the plurality of belts comprise:
 a first belt disposed at a side of the rotating brush and configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor from the driving pulley to the middle pulley; and   a second belt disposed at the side of the rotating brush and configured to transfer rotational force of the middle pulley to the driven pulley.   
     
     
         24 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 23 , wherein the middle pulley comprises a first middle pulley and a second middle pulley, the second middle pulley being configured to rotate together with the first middle pulley,
 wherein the first belt is wound around the driving pulley and the first middle pulley, and   wherein the second belt is wound around the driven pulley and the second middle pulley.   
     
     
         25 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 22 , wherein the transmission further comprises a first shaft member coupled to a shaft of the driven pulley and configured to transfer rotational force of the driven pulley to the rotating brush. 
     
     
         26 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 25 , wherein the rotating brush comprises:
 a brush body having a cylindrical shape, the brush body defining an opening at a side thereof;   a plurality of bristles attached to an outer circumferential surface of the brush body and configured to contact the floor; and   a second shaft member disposed in the opening of the brush body and configured to engage with the first shaft member.   
     
     
         27 . A vacuum cleaner comprising:
 a suction nozzle configured to suction dust from a floor; and   a main body configured to receive the dust,   wherein the suction nozzle comprises:
 a housing that defines an inlet configured to provide the dust to the main body, 
 a rotating brush disposed in the housing, 
 a driver disposed in the housing and configured to rotate the rotating brush, and 
 a detachable cover detachably coupled to the housing and configured to accommodate at least a portion of the rotating brush, and 
   wherein the driver comprises:
 a motor disposed rearward relative to the rotating brush, the motor comprising a motor shaft that is parallel to a rotational axis of the rotating brush, and 
 a transmission configured to transfer rotational force of the motor to the rotating brush. 
   
     
     
         28 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 27 , wherein the transmission further comprises:
 a driving pulley coupled to the motor shaft;   a driven pulley connected to the rotating brush and disposed forward relative to the driving pulley;   a middle pulley disposed between the driving pulley and the driven pulley; and   a plurality of belts configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor from the driving pulley to the driven pulley through the middle pulley.   
     
     
         29 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 28 , wherein the plurality of belts comprise:
 a first belt disposed at a first side of the rotating brush and configured to transfer the rotational force of the motor from the driving pulley to the middle pulley; and   a second belt disposed at the first side of the rotating brush and configured to transfer rotational force of the middle pulley to the driven pulley, and   wherein the detachable cover is disposed at a second side of the rotating brush opposite to the first side of the rotating brush.   
     
     
         30 . The vacuum cleaner of  claim 29 , wherein the middle pulley comprises a first middle pulley and a second middle pulley, the second middle pulley protruding from the first middle pulley,
 wherein the first belt is wound around the driving pulley and the first middle pulley,   wherein the second belt is wound around the driven pulley and the second middle pulley,   wherein a diameter of the first middle pulley is greater than a diameter of the second middle pulley and a diameter of the driving pulley, and   wherein a diameter of the driven pulley is greater than the diameter of the first middle pulley.
