Abstract

Methods, systems and storage media for limiting access to one or more of devices and applications for a period of time are disclosed. Some examples may include: receiving electronic assignment information indicating that at least one assignment associated with a user is incomplete, identifying a block of time based on the at least one incomplete assignment and assigning a focus time session to the identified block of time, causing at least one of an application or device to become disabled based on a configuration profile applied during the focus time session, receiving an indication that the at least one incomplete assignment associated with the user has been completed and causing the previously disabled at least one of the application or device to become enabled.

Claims

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the assignment information includes receiving the assignment information from a learning management system based on a first user identifier; and
 disabling the at least one of the application or device includes causing the at least one of the application or device associated with a second user identifier to become disabled, wherein the first user identifier and the second user identifier are for the user.

         3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
 identifying the configuration profile based on the second user identifier; retrieving categorical configuration information associated with the configuration profile, wherein the categorical configuration information includes at least one of education, gaming, and social media; causing one or more applications and devices associated with the education categorical configuration information to become enabled; and causing one or more applications and devices associated with the gaming categorical configuration information category to become disabled.

         4 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
 receiving a request to increase an amount of screen time associated with the second user identifier; retrieving incomplete assignment information associated with the user; and providing the incomplete assignment information and the request to increase the amount of screen time to a device associated with at least one of a parent or guardian of the user.

         5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein enabling the previously disabled at least one of the application or device includes resuming screen time limits specific to the user.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
 retrieving incomplete assignment information associated with the user; providing the incomplete assignment information to a device associated with at least one of a parent or guardian of the user; receiving an indication that a focus time session should be enabled; and causing one or more applications or devices to become disabled based on the configuration profile applied during the focus time session.

         7 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising” retrieving incomplete assignment information associated with the user;
 providing the incomplete assignment information to a device associated with at least one of a parent or guardian of the user;
 receiving an indication that a focus time session should be disabled; and
 causing one or more applications or devices to become enabled based on the configuration profile applied during the focus time session.

         8 . A system, comprising:
 one or more hardware processors configured by machine-readable instructions to: receive assignment information indicating that at least one assignment associated with a user is incomplete; identify a block of time based on the at least one incomplete assignment and assigning a focus time session to the identified block of time; cause at least one of an application or device to become disabled based on a configuration profile applied during the focus time session; receive an indication that the at least one incomplete assignment associated with the user has been completed; and cause the previously disabled at least one of the application or device to become enabled.

         9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein receiving the assignment information includes receiving the assignment information from a learning management system based on a first user identifier; and
 disabling the at least one of the application or device includes causing the at least one of the application or device associated with a second user identifier to become disabled, wherein the first user identifier and the second user identifier are for the user.

         10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:
 identify the configuration profile based on the second user identifier; retrieve categorical configuration information associated with the configuration profile, wherein the categorical configuration information includes at least one of education, gaming, and social media; cause one or more applications and devices associated with the education categorical configuration information to become enabled; and cause one or more applications and devices associated with the gaming categorical configuration information to become disabled.

         11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:
 receive a request to increase an amount of screen time associated with the second user identifier; retrieve incomplete assignment information associated with the user; and provide the incomplete assignment information and the request to increase the amount of screen time to a device associated with at least one of a parent or guardian of the user.

         12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein enabling the previously disabled at least one of the application or device includes resuming screen time limits specific to the user.

         13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:
 retrieve incomplete assignment information associated with the user; provide the incomplete assignment information to a device associated with at least one of a parent or guardian of the user; receive an indication that a focus time session should be enabled; and cause one or more applications or devices to become disabled based on the configuration profile applied during the focus time session.

         14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:
